@CookingAndCrafting thanks for that i have poison ivy on my back where i cant reach to scratch T_T and that helped the itching go WAY WAY WAY!! down thanks a million ^_^
@DuckyPire You're so welcome, you poor thing :( Hope it goes away quickly. We don't have poison ivy here in Hawaii but I do know I wouldn't want to mess with it!!
@aohmann YEY! Let me know if you liked it. I did. I need to have another bath, but have so many Lush products that I have to decide what to use first!
I thought it was cookies, then when I realized it was for the bath, I could not get cookies out of my mind so decided I would make this on the same day I make oatmeal cookies, then when I take my oatmeal bath I can eat the cookies. LOL
Oooh I got excited when I first saw this thought you were making oatmeal cookies as I have been looking for a recipe but the oatmeal cookie bath sounds great but I bet eating oatmeal cookies while taking an oatmeal bath would be just heavenly :0)
@catladyof5 The lid on the quaker rolled oats oatmeal package has a great oatmeal raisin recipe. It's called vanishing oatmeal raisin cookies. If you don't buy that brand if you google it their website is the first one that pops up with the recipe.
It must smell so good. I was thinking, for those that say that they might not like to bathe in a cookie smelling bath, that you could probably make it without the cinnamon and the vanilla. Am I right Beth? I used to buy the dry Aveeno bath boxes when our son would get poison ivy (even used it with the chicken pox) since he was so itchy and it was pretty expensive. Oatmeal is great for dry or irritated skin :) Cute how Honi wanted to check it out .
@ArgentineShamrock You probably could do it without that stuff... I think it's just put in to make it smell nice to enjoy the bath. Aveeno s REALLY high!! When Scott had the chickenpox, ... If I only knew how to make it back then!
Love the package too as you know me and the green! I know that they use oatmeal baths for poision ivy and such. Look at Honi sniffing, that is Duchess' thing when I take a bath she has to be in there waiting on me. This looks like a lovely "ME TIME: thing. Thanks for sharing it with us. HUGS xo
I thought you had typoed on the heading and it was supposed to be bake but when you put the 1/2 c of baking soda in I was like those a gonna be some nasty tastling cookies...lol But now I think I'm going to have to try this!! Honi was funny me take a bath in water hell to the no!!!..lol
I love oatmeal baths!! I give them to the boys sometimes. hehe But, you have to be careful. After the bath scrub scrub scrub the tub!! lol I wiped the tub out once after Aiden's bath and there was still a film on the tub floor and I almost busted myself later that night when I was taking a shower! ha ha I never knew how to make this and Aveeno can get so expensive!! Thanks for the recipe! :)
@CookingAndCrafting I love oatmeal cookies cake etc. so my mind just didn't think bath even though if clearly states that. You just need smarter viewers (than I). Lol.

what does the cinnamon do? And will this cause my daughter private space irritation?
kareemtiheed 1 year ago
@kareemtiheed Just gives it a good scent. Since cinnamon is a spice, it should not do any damage, but use your judgment
