  • wegweiser ?

  • what's that??

  • Gewaltig wenn ma so a Video ins Net stellt. I mecht meine 32 sek. zurück

  • oh my god i love this test pattern & tele text stuff, but why the night you don ' t sleep? It' s not a good idea filming teletext at 00:00.

  • what fantastic music accompanying this broadcast. Anyone have any idea what it is called?

  • AUSTRIA COPIED HUNGARY!!

  • WHOA i remember this!! ;O

  • Was this literally broadcasted on that channel or did you browse the Teletext by yourself?

  • This was really broadcasted on the channel. Many channels did that. Most of them just hocked up a normal Teletext decoder to a PAL encoder. From the shape of the zeroes I'd say this was a decoder chip from ITT.

The ORF seemingly punched keystrokes into the decoder. The ARD and ZDF had a special multi-page page with all the content they wanted to show in their demo.

  • So... this was in Germany, right? We also have something like this in the Netherlands, but then only from the news section and in the letter type Arial (so not literally browsing the teletext but showing the contents of it).

  • No, that is from Austria, but there were simmilar things in germany. Later they also switched to Arial

  • :D das is ja geil!

  • Didn't know that teletext was around in 1987. cool!

  • Actually it startet in 1980!

  • kumi koda!

  • you now get the 2007 most weirdest upload i've seen all year so far award. Well done and congratulations and conmiserations

  • i always read teletext for the news ans football

  • BRING BACK ORACLE!

  • I dislike teletext, it's a pain in the ass, even more now that we have digital TV here in the UK.

  • i like the music

  • I don't. It's schmaltz.

  • nothing about tschernobyl?

    the good old austrian ORF

  • Well, I've found an other stuff in my archives, including some tschernobyl comments: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xReZzv1sxgU

  • as the title said orf teletext 1987. chernobyl happened in 1986
