i've been playing the violin for 7 years now, since i was 12, and joshua bell has always been my idol right from the start as far as being a violinist, and it breaks my heart that i'll never be a violinist of his caliber. :'(

This has got to be the ultimate instrumental version of this most beautiful piece of music ! Joshua Bell produces a most remarkable violin tone in his his most sensitive rendition and he certainly has  a close affinity with romantic pieces ! A highly gifted violinist and should get due credit for his great performances !! I know we have Heifetz : Perlman: Menuhin, Kreisler etc who belong to the pantheon of great violinists !but Time matures artists and these are modern times !!

If "he" is playing in Florida this year, my wife and I will definitely get tickets. She is a musician (Piano and Harp) and surely would love to meet him, as would I.

This is such a beautiful version! I play the violin too in a youth orchestra, and we recently performed this piece with a soprano on a concert. This version makes me want to play this too. I'm going to try but I guess it won't be easy, especially playing it as beautiful as this ^^

'Song to the Moon' is my favourite aria of all time, and this instrumental version is absolutely stunning. I'm going to have it at my wedding in a few months as i'm walking up the aisle! Beautiful work from Joshue Bell.
