  • @naydata hahaha i dont care cuz i wasnt even being attention , and u can get a life too by not watching these pointless videos

  • You made my day! LOL I am preparing for the test and I am utterly horrified by the idea of not getting the score I need, though I know I can do it! It's this unknown that scares the **** out of me, and I know your lecture is aimed at turning the unknow to its opposite! LOL Great teaching and beautiful strategies! A huge THANK YOU! :)))

  • @kubu79 errata: the unknown into its opposite LOL

  • Hey thanks you very much, your tipes helped me in my last minute prep and i scored 100 iBT,

  • @kaushikvamshi woah ! lucky .. mine is next week :(

  • Thank you Joseph!

I followed all your advice and I got 26 points in speaking :)

  • Hi Joseph, does it matter to use past tenses when answering this question? Thank you!

  • hi sir joseph can i ask what is the good website for the national geographic and scientific american method so that i will start reading. and also is it ok if i will read novels like nicolas sPARK, TWILIGHT SERIES ETC.

  • hi sir Joseph i got a very low mark in my toefl exam especialy in reading how can i improve this skill please help me

  • @twilightstar28 Hi there. I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling. We recommend that you begin improving your vocabulary and overall reading abilities by starting with National Geographic and Scientific American (both online). For question-type strategies and more specific help, please take a look at our new 1-day emergency system. Best of luck!

  • Hey Joseph,

let me get one thing straight. So we only need to say the reasons the man/ woman provides, and not the reasons the reading provides right? I thought the reasons are going to be the same. Or does the man/ woman only support the idea of the reading?

  • @ronaldo109109 Hi there. You're right; only discuss the reasons the man or woman provides. The student will essentially discuss the reasons provided that were provided in the announcement, but he or she may support or oppose these reasons and provide additional details. That's why it's important to hold off on discussing the reasons until you start discussing the student's opinions. I hope this clears things up. Good luck!

  • Hello joseph ,I want to ask you something about website why is offline ???

  • @unikkmela1 Hi there. Sorry about any connection problems. The site appears to be working fine at this time.

  • Hi Joseph! Thank you for your videos and products. A few questions:

    1. I have seen lots of expamples of the 3rd speaking question over the Internet in which BOTH the students gave their opinion on the subject (not only one of them). Are such questions also possible? If yes then how is it better to deal with them?

    2. How much paper do we have during the test?

    Thank you!

  • @urokirusskogo Hello there. We have not personally seen question 3 discussions in which both students provide their opinions and we feel that the examples you have seen are probably not accurate to the test, but if you do find this case, you'd only need to say "The first student's opinion is that . . .The second student's opinion is that. . ." Second, you'll receive no more than 3 sheets of paper at a time. When you finish with one sheet you can exchange it for another. Good luck!

  • Thank you! I took the TOEFL on the 10th of this month, and scored a 113! (28 in the speaking section). I found your videos just one night before the test, and I swear to God, they helped me sooo much! I thank you from the bottom of my heart! Thank you! :)

  • huu, i have test tomorrow :/

  • Thank you very much Mr. Joseph! The videos are helpful. I got 23 in speaking section by following your tip, far more better than I expected. Thank you very much.

  • pls reply

  • hi sir Joseph, 6 more days to go i'll be taking my toefl exam but still i'm having a hard time in my speaking and writing because i have difficult in taking notes .what will i do to improve my notes, please help me...

  • @twilightstar28 Sorry for the delay in response. Note-taking help: Make sure that you're focusing and getting down the major points. Don't write whole sentences or whole words; just abbreviations of the major points and supporting details. Are your notes organized? Make sure that they are. When you get answers wrong, why do you get them wrong? Is it because you misunderstood your notes or the lecture? Or, is it because you misunderstood the question and answer choices? Good luck

  • very helpful....

  • I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!! Just received my scores and they are 26/27/28/28!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am still shocked!!!!!!! • Dear Joseph, your free videos have been great help. Although I attended to an actual TOEFL course , your lessons are far more better ,I prepared by your lessons and I got 29 in the speaking section. May God Bless You Always :)

  • Good evening, i need you to know that i think you are doing an excellent job for us..the best toefl guide in youtube!! I just would like to ask you a question..i don't have many problems to understand english, but as you can see reading my message, my difficult is about synonyms..i'm feeling good about grammar, i know many words but not enough to pass the exam, to explain in others ways what i want to say..what should i do about it? it's a problem for many of us..thanks

  • @Incantato Hi there. A good way to build vocabulary is to start looking at academic readings with the same level and vocabulary as the TOEFL. Visit National Geographic and Scientific American (online). The articles you'll find there are good practice and good sources of TOEFL vocabulary. Memorize at least 14-21 new words per day. Use a dictionary to find their meanings and a thesaurus to find their synonyms. Also, try creating sentences using the new words. Good luck!

  • @NoteFulldotcom ok then i'll try :D

  • how do i record myself on voxopop?i have no clue.

  • @tiaahuja Hell there. To record yourself on voxopop you must register on the site. You can then click on the link that says "Start a Talkgroup". Then, you'll be taken to a page where you'll see a link that says "Record a new discussion". Click this link, name it, and then record your answer. Finally, please send us an email at jmiranda@notefull.com that includes the link to your "discussion". Good luck!

  • whats the best source to practice these questions?i have barron's cd but they are limiting.i wanna practice more.

  • @tiaahuja Hi there. You might want to consider the TOEFL texts by Delta and Cambridge. Additionally, we provide more free help on our site. You'll find a link below the video.

  • i just dont realize how to take notes in 40 seconds and read the big passage in same time. with pencil on dark color scratch paper shadowed by light ray. does ets want to test students or supercomputers?

  • @kisvarosipari I know it's difficult! The best thing we can do is practice. Please let us know if you have any further questions. We'll be glad to help.

  • thank you :) u r doin a gr8 job :-)

  • Do you really have to state the reading topic or just straight on the man's opinion?

  • Do you give online toefl classes? If so I want online lessons.

  • @garlicpasta We do have online systems for our students. If you want personal guidance and recommendations on which system to purchase, please email us your name and information about your past TOEFL scores to CustomerCare@NoteFull.com. We look forward to hearing from you!

  • i got only 76 ,wen m suposed to get 26 in speaking section i just got 18 thats too embarassing , i thought it would be easy .

  • Dear Mr Joseph

You have done a great job helping students out.

    I deeply appreciate that

  • Hi, Joseph,

I just got my test results - I scored 118 and got -1 in both writing&speaking sections. I would never have done it if I hadn't watched your vids. They are amazing and really, truly, solidly helpful.

Keep up the good work - you've helped so many people already that I'm sure it's gonna come back to you in a very positive and rewarding way. Thank you ever so much!

  • Hello Joseph.

I have to admit that your way of teaching is really helpful.

However, I have a question in reference to part 3.

What could you recommend me, if the passage is not about a change, but about advertising for a job and in the talk one student is convincing another to apply?

I would be grateful for a short answer!

  • great videos, all of them. thanks

  • I did only one practise test with ETS fake Toefl test, otherwise I used the Longman training (which by the way is a really shitty book). So I can't really tell you. But one thing is for sure, the fake TOEFL test that you get on your package is exactly similar to the real one!

I also needed to score 79, and I was stressed as hell not to get it (even after the test), finally I almost scored 20 points more, so don't worry to much :) I wish you good luck and let me know about your score

  • Joseph ! You are awesome ! thanks for your valuable information. You are such a great teacher who really knows well on how to help students knowing the tricks and techniques to overcome them.

  • I got a 98. 30/19/19/30.....I obviously failed Speaking section...Any suggestions?

  • great and well-organized video!

now i can understand how to respond this question.

    thanks joseph!

  • Woah, these videos are way too helpful, my exam is tomorrow Jan/15th/11 ...let's see what happens :P

  • I just got my score. I scored 97, Im really happy!

I just wanted to say that these videos are really helpful! I learned just as Joseph said and the speaking parts were exactly as his structure!

    THX JOSEPH!!!

  • @MsJacktheripper22 how did you feel about the test??

  • @emmayiyi2010 I felt pretty good about the reading and speaking parts, and I tought that I had completely missed the listening part. I was wrong, I half wrong cause I scored R26 L26 S23 W22, which lead me to think that the computer correcting in the real test is more "generous" than in the practise test, but I could be wrong. However I think the speaking'scoring was a bit severe regarding the toughness of this part. Did you take the test recently?

  • @MsJacktheripper22 oh mine is in next month. i did some practice tests and exercises and found it is much more difficult than i thought. i thought i would probably good at reading and writing, but i get to change my mind right now bc i didnt do well on the practice at all. i am totally freaking out right now. its such a torture.

  • @emmayiyi2010 I know what you mean, but try to take it easy, after all you are not beting your life on this test. And one month is a lot of time to prepare; I did it in 2 weeks! I think you need to concentrate on the speaking and one of your weakest point! I would advise you not to practise to much for the writing section, just learn the basic structure and rules (You can find that on others videos) What score do you need?

  • @MsJacktheripper22 Really low only 79. That's also why at the beginning I felt so confident about it. Then I broke it down and figured that I need 20 for each section. That's when I began to stress out because it seemed hard to get 20 on all the sections even though you add them together it's only 80. I tested myself on listening last night I got 2 wrong for all 6 listenings. I was using the ETS guide and I was wondering if ETS was way much easier than the real test.
