  • Damn, how to play? or feel it when playing it with this kind of speed.

    LOL

  • o_O incredible video. ¡Very fast! I can't do it =(.

  • o-o can u do the Opening Scene in Zanarkand (Blitzball not when he tells his Story till zanarkand)

  • e8400 3 ghz

  • All you did was speed up the video...

  • i cant get it to run my dvd lol

  • who let tidus take crack! =P

  • lol too much of sins toxin or sugar!

  • Tidus on crack.

  • lol imagine the gameplay time you'd have if you couldn't pause and waited in the same place xD

  • he is on crack lol

  • not saying he did what i'm gonna say he did but do you people realize he could have just speed up the video? lol xD

  • I'm having Q8400 2.66GHz with 9800GT 512MB and 1GB RAM , i wonder if it's run well enough , cause i tried Harvestmoon , it's run quite well , but i don't know for FFX , i love FFX :D especially the storyline

  • i have 300 fraps final fantasy xii xd i have ghz 2.66 gtx269 889 mb and core quad 9440 xd

  • can u make a vid of ur full configuration ? PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ WHEN I PLAY FFX IT START IN 110 FPS BUT WHEN I PLAY IT GETS 19 - 30 ..... PLZ HELP ME !!!!!! T_T

  • where did u get the iso?

  • i downloaded it via torrent :)

i think from isohunt but i am not so sure...

  • @ChaineChan

    with me too TTTTTTTTTTTTT________________________TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

  • TheTytyopbr i managed to get it run fast. what about ur config?? if u want send me a messege to help u .

I found out that my pc was the problem ... if ur pc is fast but FF runs slow then its something with ur config but PCSX2 needs fast PCs

  • xaaxaaaxaaxax LOL

  • tidus is all crazy!

  • The cool thing about upping the fps is the super quick load times.

  • That doesn't seem like it would correlate with frames per second... but it makes sense considering the high fps is on a faster computer.

  • can u tell me ur configurations

    mine isnt working

i kno the comp might be different but i want to test urs

  • ROFL. Need to set yourself an FPS cap X3. Very funny looking.

  • Nice Download FFX ??

  • emulators came a looong way...looks so nice with 3k/2ksumthin internal res.

  • how do u do that??

  • I lol'd hard XD Tidus looks skinnier too! It's all that damn high-speed running! Woah boy!

    Nice play around =D

  • What settings did you use o_O?

  • lmao... anyone eles find that funny

  • this made my day ^^

  • Do you happen to know if 0.9.5 is floating around anyplace? The latest only accepts ELF files and I don't know of any ISO-to-ELF converters... I heard of MagicISO, but I don't know how to use it. o_O

  • Latest version supports ISO, just use Linuzappz Iso CDVD plugin.

  • Ahs =D Thanks ^^

  • tidus musta used alotta speed spheres to run that fast :p

  • Comment removed

  • This is a PS2 emulator, not a PC game. Emulators work like that, 120 FPS = 2x the normal speed if it's a NTSC region for example. So that's why Tidus in this video is running at like 3.34 - 6.67 times faster than he "normally" would on a PS2.

You can just try it out yourself if you don't believe it.

  • OMG!!!

    He's on SPEED!!!

    LOL

  • im glad this game runs on that rig..coz thats not particulary demanding to run the game..(Downloads FFX) :P

  • It's not speed up, the game is among the less demanding games and using all speedhacks etc and a Core 2 Duo E8400 overclocked to 4.0 GHz will get you speeds like that. This is quite a high fps area too but I'm getting like 150~200 FPS average speeds in this game and ~100 minimum and ~400 FPS maximum if I don't limit it on my comp. I'm a longtime overclocker and tweaker, I know how to get things running as fast as possible. ;)

  • i tried to overclock my cpu with ntune and the next day my comp crapped out any advice on overclockin ?

  • Yeah, don't mess with settings when you have absolutely no idea what you're doing. That's good advice.

  • Nice! I'm only using a Pentium 541 Prescott 3.2 w/HT @ 4.0-4.25 ghz and I tried this game but only got about 20 FPS on the PAL version.

I'm buying a Q6600 as soon as I can and I'm hoping I can reach at least 3.6 ghz, I only have a 8600GT though which is 2 1/3 times slower than the 8800GT, I might get a bottleneck in framerate.

  • Graphics cards are severely underused in emulation, you'll find that the CPU has so much more effect on performance when you upgrade it.

I can play the game at around 400% normal speed, which is about 200+fps.

Obviously, I limit it to about 60 or 70 fps, because I don't like the slow running speed, but don't want to kill the sound.

And you may also find that a Core 2 Quad cpu will do worse than a Core 2 Duo cpu, not sure why, but they do.

  • @MichaelStokoe

"Graphics cards are severely underused in emulation"

Until CUDA and Open-CL came along. Soon plugins or entire emulators can be coded to run the code on the GPU as well as rendering. GPU's can do several cycles at any point in time due to the raster operation units and stream processors (shaders). My 8600GT has 10x the mathematical capability of my Pentium 4, and it preforms 7-10x faster in conversions, 38-42x faster in Rendering (compared using Swiftshader 2.01)

  • @MichaelStokoe

GPU's are many times faster than traditional CPUs. The trend may either go towards more compatable general purpose GPUs or CPU/GPU integration.

The Playstation 2 had 2 vector units, a floating point processing unit, a graphics synthesizer with 4 MB embedded DRAM for frame buffers, textures and z-buffers, polygon and fillrate operations are very quick therefore, all shapes supported, and the DMA controller which manages the traffic of information across this bus.

  • @MichaelStokoe

"And you may also find that a Core 2 Quad cpu will do worse than a Core 2 Duo cpu, not sure why, but they do. "

Improper multithreading optimization, otherwise the C2Q should preform appropriately.

  • @RPGWiZaRD i have 1.8 gb ram and it goes 173 FPS max is that normal lol?

that just means i can run good games riiiiiight?

  • Haha u just speeded up the video, run that in window mode and show me ur 200-400 fps haha

  • hey, PCSX2 0.9.6 has been out awhile. Mind running your current rig & letting us see?

  • it says at the freaking start of the video >.>

  • why you using a speed hack!!!!! :(

  • unless u all haven't noticed by now he sped up the video :O

  • add frame limit to 70 or something -.-

  • 60 should be the exact fps limit to play well the ntsc games, 50 the pal ones

  • no, i don't agree. You can go with 30fps but if a game is gonna glitch, the FPS won't matter. More programming will make PCSX2 better over time.

  • damn, i just dont get it, i tried to emulate FFX on my pc, but I got 40 fps and shitload of graphical glitches. Plaiyn on PCSX2 0.9.4 with ZEROGS Kosmos 0.97.0. PC specs: gigabyte GeForce 9800GTX+, Gigabyte S-series Motherboard, GA-MA696G-S3H, AMD Phenom 9550 quad-core 2,2 ghz, 4 gb of RAM, runned on 32bit win XP, please haaaalp ;p

  • i have a shitty homecomputer which is like 3ghz don't know why it cant even play halo fast on lowest res, while my 14.1 inch lappy 1.33ghz dual core can play very fast on high res (no joke could make sense if someone did the math)

quad-core, that should make a breeze for pcsx2 especially. Maybe its just settings...

  • get the new 9.6 off of the main site also try gsdx 1.14 for graphics hope it helps oh and you should get even faster then him with you specs

  • umm....get the new versoin...

  • see, i can see you're a smart one. Atleast you don't use that f-----g Vista crap! XP should give an immediate speed boost.

  • how do you mount the game files to play everytime i try it never works

  • First you need a copy of your game as .iso file on your computers harddrive. Then you open up pcsx2,go to File -> Run CD/DVD and navigate to the location of your game .iso and open it up.But in order to do it this way you need a cd-rom plugin that supports .iso files.Usually there is one with pcsx2.

  • not always

if u have the cd maybe

file run cd-dvd rom or something like that

unless your a badboy like me who gets shit like that for a minimal price

  • Hi, is the high fps harmful for your hardware? I just heard something like this but using frame limit makes about 50fps constant but with drops :(

  • Not at all.The emulator only renders as fast as the cpu can go,so it only uses available resources without any chance to damage the hardware.Only if your cpu is overclocked while running a emulated game, while missing proper cooling.Only then it might be risky for the hardware :P.Get the latest beta from pcsx2 and set the fps limit to 0 to let it set the best fps by itself,or any other number, i.e. 60 for 60 fps.

  • lol, jealous, but anyway why ruin it for him??

  • Comment removed

  • RIDE ZEH SHOOPUFF?

  • i always used to lol at that part

  • well we know who was smoking something today *nudges tidus*

  • Hahaha awesome, I'm getting that exact same processor in a couple days :D

Do you have yours water-cooled, stock air cooled, or what? I'd like to know what kind of overclocking I can expect. I've heard of 4.5ghz on stock fans, but it often varies from chip to chip

  • how do you hook up to a pc to play a ps2 game?

  • You don't hook up, you get a rip/image of the game disc and you play it thru an emulator which acts as close to the original PS2 as possible. It takes a fairly good pc for it to even work though.

  • fckn fakkee :P...

you'd just speed up your video with windows video maker -_-...

  • its not a fake, you just don't know how overclocking of a Core2Duo reacts on the Speed :p

  • better then my 3 fps in DBZ T3

  • bad fake...

no PC in the world could run PS2 games that fast.

maybe in 10 years or so

  • I agree with you. BUT! However! The Nvidia GeForce 9800 GTX 2 Black edition might be able to.

  • No, but a pretty good gaming PC can already run FFX on PCSX2 on around 70-80 fps, the only thing is that even at those fps FFX looks a little too fast (original game speed is 60fps) so you have to limit using the emulator's options.

  • Who would like to play at THAT speed anyway ?

  • I'm sorry, but why do I need a top of the line computer to play a game from the PS2?? I mean, hasn't the tech improved since the PS2 came out? Am I to understand that my brand new pc comes is 2nd to a damn PS2? That just doesn't compute in my head. Can anyone explain this to me?? Please...

  • because its emulation.. sure my pc runs crysis at max settings but when it comes to ps2 emulation, i can only get average 40-45 fps for final fantasy X bec. my cpu frequency is a little bit low.

  • When talking about Emulation the best way to think about it is your PC having to run at least 3x what it's trying to do. The PS2 chip architecture is extremely complex and the developers have to transfer it to the PC which is no easy task.

  • its cause thats what it takes to run a ps2 game sadly i only get 15 fps while walking around 35 fps in videos basicly un playable

stats acer 2.80 ghtz celerion nvid gefore 6200 1.25 gig ram

  • The computer has to emulate the system (including every single component) PLUS the games themselves AND on top of that the PS2's architecture is kinda complicated (propietary) so it needs a lot of power to be emulated right (just like with the Saturn emulation), if the architecture was normal and not complex, you would only need a normal or less powerful PC to run the emulator, like with the Dreamcast, N64 and Plyastation for example.

  • mine is only at 1 FPS

  • LMAO! XDDDD please help me run it lol

i can run it but its always

40-50 never goes higher i want at least

    70 xDD any ideas?

  • 70 is too much for this game, it will look sped up (specially the music) and bad, if you can run it at 40-50 that's perfect. I think the game's native speed is somewhere around 50-60 fps.

  • The actual game speed is 52 Frames Per Seconds, just pointing that out.

  • u should put some Benny Hill music on this video

  • The FPS high like that only will destroy your PC!

  • it won't destroy a pc. ur an idiot.

  • I'm Begging you!!! pls make a tutorial on how to use it!!! Can I use my ps2 DVD or should i extract it and make an ISO? or should i donwload it? plssss

    you mean very slow?

    I have laptop

    AMD athlon x2

    Dual Core

    768MB RAM

    1.8 GHZ

    120 HDD

    ACER 4520 XP

  • make iso, but ur computer might not be able to handle it

  • that ram hurts dude

  • yeah it is a shame.

  • wow. that's awesome, LOL.

By the way, can MGS3 and DMC3SE also run smoothly?

  • FUCK ME RUNNING!! I wish my computer could do that!

  • ROFL I did that crap

  • then teach us how =P

  • how do i tell what stuff my pc has in it?

  • That computer is godly. O_O

  • My playstation broke down and I couldnt play FFX anymore, its been 2 years since then and I wish to play again :P

I got 512 mb video card,

    3 GB RAM, 2 GHz

    Windows XP SP 2

    Notebook.

Is that enough to be able to play final fantasy at normal framerate?

  • O_o it should be..... whats ur video card?

  • I downloaded it as ISO, then mounted with Daemon Tools into a virtual drive, then used PCSX2 to open it, changed CDVD configration so he will load from the virtual drive, then I lower the Graphical Settings to speed up the game, Im happy it finally works but sometimes in menus and so I got very fast speed while at movies and when there are many events on the screen I got very much lag (20 FPS)

Gimme some tips how to fix this fast/slow change please!

  • I don't know why but this is just so funny.

  • i've also got a core 2 duo e8400 @ 4 GHz but with a x1950 xt...it still runs perfect.

  • use vu skip it look normal.

    this is funny vid.

    *****

  • how is he doing that, when i press Del, nothing happends

  • it just take the frame rate limiter off if your computer can take it higher than 60 fps you won't get an increase in speed.

  • anyone can do that lol just press del (fps limiter it should show it) then u press end or home for a higher/faster fps but i recommend 60fps

  • LMAO. i laughed my ass.

thank you for this vid now i'm sure i can play this game on high FPS.

  • use framerate limit ;)

  • Hey guys, my pc isn't exactly best-of-the-best, but it's still pretty damn good, how can I get my fps above 20?

  • lmao...how many FPS was that, like 300?

I was up to around 1k on Final fantasy tactics for the PS1 the opening movie was over in a few seconds..lol, then it dropped to a few hundred.

I hear FFx gets really good FPS- around 60 or so on average.

  • Says in my description, 200 - 400 FPS in this part. The whole game runs about 150 ~ 180 FPS average though, ~90 FPS being the absolutely minimum.

  • I heard that to run pcsx2 is all about cpu power. is that true? How much does the graphics card effect it you think? So you were able to get that high frame rate with a dual core. That means that a quadcore OC to 3.8 ghz should run this game flawless too.

  • my system: amd athlonx2 +3800, ati radeon x1650 pro with 512mb, 1bg ram. and i have a question, which configure i have to choose, to play ffx with a normal speed?

  • i got my e6700 to 4ghz, but it was never so fast like this,

either the performance of 45nm cores are a lot better than the 65nm ones or you just used an tweaked PCSX2 build :p

  • Status of jaw: TROUGH THE GODDAMN FLOR!

  • Wow with that spaces you can even run playstation 3 emulators haha

  • lol funny

  • Where did you download Final Fantasy X, i have been looking everywhere for it, please let me know.

  • you should just buy the game. you can probably get it for like 10 bucks

  • Ack...I cant get the stupid 9.4 to work with Armored core Last Raven, I have done anything and everything...anyone here have any suggestions?

  • lol ^^ I assume this is with a PS2 emulator because I have never heard of it. I suppose it is because I haven't searched! Hmmm! Time to upgrade ePSXe to this then! :D

  • Just remember you need a very powerful system for PCSX2 so that's why I stated system specs in the title to avoid "fake" spamming. FFX 3D is one of the fastest running 3D games and also this part of the game I showed runs pretty fast as well (inside the tents are the fast spots for this game) and in the tent in the beginning I have even 405~410 FPS but as you see not very demanding graphics in this spot. :p

  • hi, i have the emulator, i would really love to know where you download the games.

and also how long did it take to download it.
