@BlackDragon4716 That's a Grippen. The pilot ejected becaude he was going to crash anyway. The only plane I've heard of that has an automatic ejection system is the Yak-38 VTOL Fighter.

@googleisshittoss- Why wasn't the B-52 crash appropriate? Because there were no successful ejections, or because people died? If it was the deaths, a few of the other crashes caused deaths, on the ground if not of the crew. If because the "ejection" bit, you could argue that because the co-pilot ALMOST ejected (the escape hatch detached, but seat took like a tenth of a second too long to fire), it meets the standard for the video. Besides...plenty of F-104 pilots didn't make it out either.

@megachiken21- Why a few days later? They disappeared immediately! But then when it was found that it wasn't pilot error but electronic malfunction that caused the B-2 to crash, they were allowed to go about their business.

The B-52H shown in the vid had killed all 3 on board. No ejections were made during that flight.  from what I know, it was a practice run prior to an airshow that was supposed to follow a day or so later. I have been in a few different models of B-52s (D, G and H) and hven't seen one equipped with ejection seats. If anything like other strategic bombers, the whole capsule falls away from the rest of the aircraft. (i.e. as in the F-111F Aardvark)

@JFDhater- What are you talking about? The B-52 most certainly DOES have ejection seats. The original B-52 had ejection seats for all crew besides the tail-gunner, who was in the tail which detached in emergencies. The B-52H had the gunner stationed with the EWO and given a normal seat. More importantly, the Fairchild AFB crash killed FOUR crew, not three. The co-pilot initiated ejection, but the seat hadn't fired when the plane hit. You can see the escape hatch detach before impact in photos.

@justforever96 What are YOU talking about....I was inside a B-52D at CFB Namao in 1979. Even 2 of the ground crew told me they were tired of their crews complaints on how uncomfortable the seats were in that model, and how they always had to swap them out because of how they were fastened to the compartment, making them 'shifty'. they specifially told me that it was a good thing that the seat WASN'T and ejection seat because they weren't fastening them in properly due to the complaints.

@justforever96 And moreover, you can see a hatch flying in a still photo of the video? impressive eyes you have there, with the resolution of the video, I HIGHLY doubt you can distinguish the metal flying is a hatch of any sort.

@JFDhater- I didn't say that I could see it in the video. I've seen photos, which I'm sure you could see as well if you bothered to look. And I have no clue why they would tell you that a B-52 has no ejection seats, unless they were pulling your leg, the plane was modified, or you were looking at a jump seat or something. I can assure you that every B-52 that left the factory had ejection seats installed. Again, if you bothered to look into it, you'll find that I'm correct. I rarely bullshit.
