  • It is REALLY nice of you to take the time to post these. I left Vietnam when I was five and am taking lessons now to get better at my language - these are very useful. Cheers from New Zealand :)

  • yay! this was uploaded on my birthday;]

  • i am trying to learn how to read and write what lesson is best for me please answer!!!

  • @nahahaha100 It depends on how much you already know ^_^. The best lesson you need to learn is Lesson 4 How To Spell A Vietnamese Word. However, I think it would be better if you could spend a little time to look at every lesson from the 1st to the last as well to get a good foundation ^_^. Good luck ^_^.

  • I have a question. I use different names for the consonants (like be^ instead of bo' for b). Can I say "a. be^. a. ba" to spell "ba?" or do I have to use "bo'`"?

  • @cpfans123 "bê" is an old system of spelling, used a really really long time ago. However, nobody uses it nowadays instead of some elders. Actually, if you try, you will see. "a bờ a ba" will be smoother than "a bê a ba". Because the sound "bê" is heavier than "bờ". And also, it kinds of not really nice to the ears when you say "bê". So, if you try it that way, I think it'll be a little bit more difficult to spell.

  • @cpfans123 Personally I will suggest you if you can, please change it into "a bờ a ba" since it'll be a lot easier to spell since it's smoother ^_^. When you say individual letter like "a", "b", "c", you can use whatever it is and everyone will still understand you. But, when it comes to spelling, I think it's better for "bờ" and other consonants as well ^_^. Hope it'll help you a little bit ^_^.

  • Holy motherf*cker this lesson is long!!! Sorry for the language XD

  • Will I understand? Can I get personal assiatance

  • @muirurimoses If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me ^_^. Which part you don't understand? Maybe because my English is not really good so sometimes it'll confuse you....

  • I'm Vietnamese American and I know how to talk, but I don't know how to read/write. So this lesson is the most important to me. And yes, it's a very hard lesson. Thanks for posting it Yen.

  • @Conqueror36 ^_^ thanks ^_^. Don't worry, Conqueror 36. Since you already know how to talk, it won't take you a long time to study writing and reading ^_^. Believe me ^_^, you'll know writing and reading soon ^_^. See the way of spelling and try to catch the sound when you're talking ^_^. They're similar ^_^. Good luck on your studying Vietnamese ^_^. If you have any problem, please feel free to ask me ^_^.

  • Your lessons are very helpful. Thank you so much for taking time to put this on you tube.

  • @jtranful Thank you so much ^_^
