also, neben uns saßen zwei goths und die hatten eine schwarz angemalte eidechste aus gummi an einer leine und dazu dann auch noch einen kleinen napf mit wasser, grins. immer wenn leute vorbeikamen ( also fast ständig) zogen sie dann an der leine und das gummiding bewegte sich ganz lustig ...

aber na klar, es gibt noch so viele andere richtungen, die leute dort in großer zahl vertreten ! deine richtung zu beispiel oder industrial, dark metal, neo folk , mal so als beispiel...

years ago i was in new orleans on the famous coven ball because i am a big fan of anne rice . there were also many goths on the ball and in the clubs in the city . i think, the scene in the US is not the same as in europe...at least not in new orleans ;)

True, the scene in the US is very different from Europe. I hope I don't sound mean, but new Orleans is in a world of their own. The pert I live in well it didn't go over very well. Its hated a lot. So how different was the scenes?

indeed, new orleans is very special to rest the of the US. i like it very much and hope to come back soon.

and for your question, there were three types of goths : first the goths and vampire fans, nice and crazy people with fangs and all this things. then there were goths which were very similar to ours, same clothes, background and music taste, you know.

but most of these gothics were people without background ! wearing normal black clothing ( jeans and shirts) just had few decoration .

hmm, i see. and probably you are right and these " jeans and shirt goths " have a background too . but for me ( i am over 30 and for 15 years in the gothic scene..) these background had not the desired depth. and this is not because of the normal clothes they wore, you know. It was mainly because of the conversations i had with them...

yes, cyber goths. they are everywhere !.. but i know nothing about them...I belong to the " good old " goths ;)

from what i know they dont do goth events in the us,well i heard of bats day in cali but there hasn't been 1 in nyc :( ther r usually just a few goth clubs which is actually really cool but no big events. i listne to alot of goth metal but i also like the goth bands too.

Hi. In mexico, is very strange looks girls with head shave and half large hair, it´s not common. No exist english 19th Century Clothes, all boys and girl want to be vampires fussed 19th century and modern things, white/black large shirt, make up in eyes, large and voluptous boots, sometimes chains, gabardine. The girls with bustier, black, with red, wine, purple colour, large dress "etheral look", guantalet, collar, boots.

It´s very strange our ethnicity are hispanic and then our skin is brunette, so the combination: black clothes-pale skin does´nt exist. The Youth female of now days wants to dress like: "lolita dark", you know, scoth skirt, black stalkings with bustier, guantalet with/or add jeans jacket. The music they listen are doom, gothic metal: (lacrimas profudere, lacrimosa), electro goth: (crux shadows, tuxedo moon), goth rock: (sanguis et cinis, 2 witches), etc...
