some stores like babies r us will allow you (if you leave them your ID at the service desk) to try the display model in your car in their parking lot.

Smutz82: Many children are too tall for the harnesses before they reach the 65lb weight limit of some 5-pts. My 8 year old weighs 55lbs. My daughter will be 5 (47lbs) in Aug. and I moved her out of the Nautilus because the straps were below her shoulders. For tall kids, keeping them harnessed to 65lbs is not an option. Booster seats can be (min.)for children as little as 40lbs (some say 30), though not ideal.

Too bad we can't tell America that children who are under 65lbs that they should still be in a 5 point harness! Graco Nautilus and Britax Frontier are the only carseats that keep children harnessed longer. Children under 35lbs should still be rear facing. Booster seats are for children over 65lbs but are still unable to touch the floor with their feet and their back against the seat. The seat belt should be between their neck and shoulder. Spread the word about this important information!

It's all about correct fit. Each child is different. This is why I tell parents to test their kids in seats before they buy. Or at least make sure the company as a good return/exchange policy.
