The pics are terrific... I'm used to seeing old B & W photos of him, which make him look older. These color photos let you see how young he really was... A true legend who left us WAY too soon. But his music will always rock!!!
Eddie Cochran, Ricky Nelson, Dale Hawkins & even Gene Vincent are tops with me!!!,...not the King of ROCK & ROLL. I' still have a few selections I adhere to when it comes to Elvis but overall I could live without playing his Teddy Bear.
Sad that most of his records tanked in the states. They did great overseas which is why he went to England in the early part of 1960 and unfortunately he never made it home. I'd like to beat the tar outta that damn driver that killed him. I hope if he's still alive he thinks about what he did every single day.
It was the 5-4 Ballroom in Los Angeles, a mostly black Jazz, Blues, and R&B dance joint, sort of the Apollo Theater of L.A. It's at the southwest corner of S. Broadway and W. 54th Street... check it out on Google Maps' street view. It's a brown and white building.
great voice, guitar, basically everything from my one n only true king of rock n roll,, god bless eddie cochran.

Ever wonder what the ''Big 5-4'' was?

Yeah-yeah-yeah, then we Bop
