  • not really...

  • Llamenme loco pero prefiero mucho mas a Epik High / Call me crazy but for me is better Epik High :D

  • thats a remix -.-

  • lol its pop music, its all the same

  • LOL WHAT THE FUG IS THIS SHIT.

  • they sound totally different =,=== ru kiddin me?

  • Woooooooooooooooooooow. This is the biggest fail I have ever seen. Sure, they use the same beats (or not, whatever), but it is not the same melody. Pfft, this video sucks.

  • If Epik High's song is a plagiarism then Rihanna's song is also a plagiarism. Dug some songs from the '80's. My point is nothing is original anymore. All melodies are already used but in a different way

  • What if the remix and the original song came out on the same moment or if the party of being suspected of plagiarism didn't even knew about this remix? The most popular one would be seen as the original and the less-popular one as a plagiarism one. So this is kinda pointless and unfair.

  • ..... BOO!!!

  • It is rather different, also why the crap did you choose a REMIX of the song Umberella? LMFAO....thats sad. The original umberella = not the same as epik high and vice versa.

  • WTF?! both song are waaaaay diffrent.

  • heh heh heh....no.

  • PL-EASE, bitch. Don't compare these two, if you mind.

  • First off, the song you played was a remix, which is newer then one by Epik High.

So, really, it's only possible that the creator of the remix plagerized Epik High.

That sould already be enough facts to see what's wrong.

  • meh either way, epik high's "one" is about 100 fucking times more incredible than any of Rihanna's songs. -.-

  • @TTcl0ud Amen!

  • At first I thought it sounded alike but when Epik High's came on I realize it different. Yeah there's the similarity but no!

  • this is idiotic they sound nothing a like, Rihannas is 2 steps higher and full of tiplets

  • LOL this is stupid.

  • omg this is dumb. those are very basic beats and chords combination which HUNDREDS of songs out there would use. judging from the epic amount of disagreement in the comments section, you might want to take this video down for your own sake dude

  • sure they sound similar, but most beats follow a 4 beat simple step regardless. It's nothing new if they sound similar, pop hits follow the same flow.

  • you just disgraced epik high

  • Not hearing it, sorry. I can't imagine any group with as much integrity as Epik High doing something like that anyway honestly.

  • never put american mainstream with epik high again

  • rhianna's remix... NEVER heard of it. probably something you extracted from epik high's song..

also, WHAT THEY SOUND DIFFERENT... > >

another thing, CHECK WHICH SONG CAME OUT FIRSTT.

  • jaja no es plagio eso!!!

  • Boo! it aint the same man..

    crazy fellas

  • The title of the video is misleading. It's called sampling not plagiarism. And even though it sounds like EH sampled Rihanna, I doubt it.

  • I like the Epik High sound better... It's got more to listen to, whereas Rihanna's thing is just a beat. You know, just from an aesthetic view.

  • why is this a featured video? because youtube wants us to know how amazing Epik Hih is

  • completely different imo. Epik High doesn't need to copy others, rather, I'd say it's the other way around

  • dude the background music is similiar, but also very different. This particular sound is very easily created, but how it's used is a different matter.

Now take DYE and NeverXOver for example. That's an almost direct copy.

  • Wth would Epik High want to copy Rihanna anyways? Their song is more addicting anyways.

  • this isnt even the original Rihanna's Umbrella......

  • This is total bs. I have never even heard of this remix before and I highly doubt that Epik High has. Even if they did, I don't see what's so appealing about this song that they HAVE to 'plagiarize' it. In my opinion, Epik High has enough creativity and skill to make a song that sounds just as good or better. And a lot of songs coincidentally have the same chords or sound similar; it doesn't mean that they committed plagiarism.

  • the fact that you disabled ratings kind of already illustrates that you dont want to be proven wrong.

    which, you are.

  • @hyrussk71

i woulda given you a thumbs up but i cant =/

  • my ear is saying that it is not ,,,

  • lol please dig your ears

  • music is infinite but the human mind is not

  • ummm theres a lot of songs like that with similar chord progressions.. actually... thats like one of the most basic progressions.... lol

  • so what ? they made it better. and by the way, im not a korean

  • Haha. This is ludacrissy!

  • I do believe Epik High was a whole B*S* after listening to many "illigal Samplings" they did...

    But!!

dude this is not the case. chill.

  • please just slice ur ears off

  • Not trying to come up with a conclusion? Wtf's up with the title then?

  • If it's just a thought, why did you put it up on youtube? It's stupid.

  • oooh. :))

  • Short and simply, you're a fucking retard to think that Epik High would steal from Rihanna in the first place.

  • Because you know, Rihanna and popular mainstreams artists are so fucking original nowadays and so good that people have to copy them.

    Seriously.

  • Its definitely not the same..unless you're tone deaf. Get a life.

  • @ItsYijuBear I second that.

  • in terms of law, not plagiarism unless 3 consecutive bars are the same

  • I must admit, they do sound similar, but theres only so many songs that can be made. I reckon it's purely coincidence. Besides, Epik High's beat is pretty different when you compare the two closely

  • is this really what you do in ur free time?

    you're a moron

  • SHISUS ME COME!!!!!

  • There are only so many beats in this world.

  • you are an idiot

  • Wat the fuk r u talking bout?! this is not even close to similiar! ru retarded? dont do this kinda shit ever again bro this is jst sad..

  • It's a remix.

  • @cleanmusic213 it's not a remix u dumb kid. coz epikhigh put the composer as Tablo

  • @jigglethat The song Umbrella is a club remix. Of course I know Epik High's song is the original one.

  • sounds similar, but i like epik high's version better lol

PS. omg that orchestra's playing the same G string as we are!

  • i've never even heard of that version of umbrella. probably not cuz it sucked ass.

  • omfg... its like clapping and posting a video saying LOOK 2 PEOPLE CLAP ALIKE :O.... K so what? Its just a f#$king beat not everything needs to be complained about -_-" its ovbious epik high's is better though

  • @Animerocker11

i agree with you. people make too many complaints on copying others beats. people just need to listen and enjoy the music. That's what i thought it was good for. now people are making a big deal about it sounding similar

  • Are you some kind of poster boy of non-plagiarism? Do you have a damn life? Why don't you create a song that is original that people would like? If not, then fuck off.

  • First off that was ot even the official format of Rihannas- Umbrella, it was fan made. And Epik Highs song is the official format. So the person who is posting this is just trying to cause troble

  • Lol? what are you smoking.....

  • Comment removed

  • you are comparing epik high's one to a REMIX of rihanna's umbrella, not the original

for all we know, lindbergh may have copied epik high

  • Comment removed

  • @berryzoa link?

  • Comment removed

  • @berryzoa

they're similar but it's only the "WOOO WOOO" part at the beginning. probably a coincidence since it's so elemental - (two woo's and two lower woo's)

    but i'm not dismissing it

    have any other examples?

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @berryzoa errr.......you have no life xD

  • Comment removed

  • there's a reason why ratings have been disabled for this video

epik high doesn't plagiarize. the mere thought of tablo even considering plagiarism would blow my mind

plus, epik high's one is way better than rihanna's umbrella

  • and if you cant hear the similarity, try this: QUIT LISTENING WITH YOUR FEET.

only difference i hear is the drums and ones faster/slower

  • Ive heard this before... I cant tell you for sure which song, but ive heard it in my techno/trance days in the early 2000s. DIFFERENCE is RHIANNAs is just something some club dj or comp geek remixed on their own of the original song and EPIKs something they included in their own album(im guessing, never heard the album or the full song) and claimed they made it "made it" themselves (another guess).

NOT A FAN of either. but im sure a "few" more people listen to RHIANNA than EPIK HIGH HERBS

  • WHO CARES

even if they copied the song, they made it HEAPS better anyway

plus, i can't even make any connections .. sounds nothing like it

  • Who listens to Rihanna anymore....?

  • okay, not even talking about epik high yet ... how is lindbergh palace even saying that is a remix of "umbrella" when it sounds nothing like it and is sucks? ...and yeah, epik high version is the original and way better, duh.

  • if ANYTHING. she copied THEM.

  • God, you should do more research, enough said.

  • a remix versus an original song which came out first.

wouldnt that be the guy who created the remix's fault?

  • LOL check which came first dude, and rihanna actually sucks.

  • Go play DDR... I think you'll say all of them with the electronic keyboard progression all plagiarized Umbrella despite having been out for over ten years.

  • ur soo dumbb,, the lindbergh vers of umbrella doesn't even sound like umbrella,, so shut the f up

  • u muuuuuuuuuuusssst be seriously on crack or something..

one came out wayyyy before Rihana bought the song umbrella.. she didn't even write the song or produced it. so its not rihana's fault that the producer of her song copied epik high's one.. considering epik high's one was popular too.... But still rihana should be blamed!! for not doing enough research and buying a song that is a copy cat of a famous song, one.

AGAIN, TABLO FROM EPIK HIGH, IS STANDFORD GRAD WITH CIA CERTIFICATE

  • WHAT-THE-FUCK-ARE-YOU-TALKING-ABOUT?

"ONE" came out before "umbrella".... oh, so you are saying rihanna copied epik high?? WTF, no wonder everybody that is commenting thinks you are on crack

  • LOL doesnt even sound alike

  • what the heck? you're making it sound similar... -_-;; idiots like you are why people think it sounds similar.

  • why u haten on asians? D:<

  • is this guy on crack.. there are so many songs with this chord progression... basically all techno songs, Love by jason ma, just find any song

  • this is stupid!

  • That melody is one of the most common chord progressions today.

Rihanna is definately not the first one to use it lol

  • are you freaking kidding me,,,, you call this plagiarism? this guy is completely out of mind

  • :P One came out first...... then, its not plagiarism dude

  • EPIK HIGH FTW. One is an amazing song, and even *IF* they did plagarise, they did a much better job at making music people will actually listen to and love!!

besides, i highly doubt rihanna even wrote that song herself. tablo is an epik genius.

  • @siumai2 You're right. Epik High made it sound waaaaay better. And of course she didn't right it

  • @siumai2 *write it. Sorry

This song, One, was produced in 2008. Umbrella by Rihanna (Epik High has a song called Umbrella, too :)), was 2006. It is before Epik High, but Tablo's smart enough not to plagiarise someone. Especially if he's better than them

  • How come, One came out before Rhianna's Umbrella, but some people think Epik High plaigarized from HER?

  • doesnt sound similar....

  • take this video DOWN or altleast change the name cse one came out before umbrella OR this remix

  • i dont really see the similarity .... i have seen worse (boom boom boom... fire - 2ne1)

  • everyone else has said it already. epik high sets the bar for music, no one can compare. especially not rihanna.

  • Epik High's song came out before Rihanna's....

and IMO One sounds better anyway.

  • oh well that happens all the time - it's a 4-bar phrase constructing by 4 simple chords that just keep repeating itself - could be simply just a coincidence.

  • tjdals4646 is right One came out ealrier than Umbrella.

    Get your facts straight, please.

  • Comment removed

  • are you high?

epik high's one came out in april 2008

and rihanna's umbrella came out in jun 2008

even if the song is plagiarised, it's rihanna's plagiarism on Epik High's One

if you can't trust me, search the album release date on google

won't even take you 2 minutes...

  • c'mon, epik high came first! no way to blame them! anyway. epik high sounds much better!

  • That club mix isn't copywritten, so no plagiarism there

  • either way epik high sounds better.

  • :D i agree!`

  • she's ripped off lots of songs. permission to do so or not, that just tells me that she's unoriginal, can't think up her own music, and needs to quit stealing other people's hits for her own personal gain.

  • the beat is similar, but epik high came first.

theres been so much music thats its nearly impossible to come up with a unique sound.

i'm tired of ___ copied off of ___! and all of that x.x

theres more likely musical coincidences these days..

  • sike, epik is so much better

    doesnt sound simliar, you fail

  • This is like heart breaker and Spin my head right round. There are limited melodies in the world, and it seems that we the melodies sound alike, but they are not. Timbaland and some other random artists know this, so they use older songs, like Blue from Eiffel 65, or You Spin Me Right Round from Dead Or Alive, and add their own style to it.

But it's very likely to be coincidental. Though you never know, if Megan Fox wanted to date Bi-Rain, then cultures clash and ideas are copied.

  • the epik high song is sounds mucho better to me..

  • FAIL. Not even close.

  • obviously not plagerised. the beat for one is a descending, ascending scale motion, a wave pattern if you will, while rhiannas {REMIX}, mind you, rhiannas is just a simple descending chord progression. plus, on the third chord of one, it is a higher note, not a lower such as umbrella. nice try.

  • that isn't plagiarism in my belief. i mean, how many different possible chord progressions can you play in four measures before you're no longer COMPLETELY unique.

  • this is so not plagiarism T_T

it sounds different. even though the beat is similar

  • Pretty sure Epik came out with this beat or song before Rihanna. Cuz I think they were performing this song and Rihanna was getting her ass beat. Oh well it does sound similar but yeah Epik or should i say Tukutz owned this beat.

  • epik high came before rihanna sweety.

and plus they dont even sound close to the same wtf o.O

  • why is this a featured video...

    this is retarded.

  • WTF i think wmryt should re-learn the true meaning of plagiarism or change his ears for not hearing the difference.

  • uhh.not plagiarism.if you call the similarity bewteen those songs plagiarism, then every artist is a plagarizer of some other artist.

  • EPIK HIGH definitely killed it and served it with a glass of wine. They're the shit.

  • amen.

  • fuck rihanna. Chris brown should bitch slap her for ripping off epik high.

  • AHAHAHA I came hoping to find something controversial....and all I get is THIS?!

Oh geez. LAME. Doesnt even sound a bit SAME. Obviously, the person doesnt have any musical talent/training and cant really register notes...so he/she goes by ear (even then, it doesnt sound the same). Did I say...LAME?!

  • @blissfulmemories01

    0:27 and 1:23

Sounds the same. Epik high's is faster.

  • epik high just makes the sound a whole lot better

  • lol? i wuldn't think epik high would be hypocrites and plaguerize, when they're tryin to get ppl to realize that most kpop artists out there are plaguerizin eachother

  • lol at wmryt

  • lmao this doesn't sounds same to me. i guess u have big piece of ear wax in ur ears.

  • its definitely not plagiarism. the use of similar chord progression is common throughout the music industry. Its wat sounds good sells good. There are only so many chord progressions that sound good.

  • Epik High's notes have a different tone and produce a different mood. Don't say they plagiarized Umbrella.

  • i agree, the moods are different; only some notes and the instrumentation overlap..

i doubt tablo would plagiarize looking at how he even wrote a song based on how people keep plagiarizing.. and how he graduated top of his class from stanford

  • diiferent. you can hear the difference. and its not like they did it all note for note, sound for sound, beat for beat. so they can plagarise, since its not exact. and then the 2 songs are different w/different meanings. So again the theme isnt the same. its not uncommon to see 2similar sounding tracks. good catch though.

  • yea i agree

  • @Somedude4501

You're a dumbass. What the fuck do you know about Korean music? If you want to compare the quality of Rihanna's music to Epik High's, there's absolutely no comparison. Epik High creates their music, Rihanna just performs hers.

  • dude.

Epik High has helped shape korean music. they helped define the rap scene and they are the driving force in straying away from the corrupt korean music industry. they are the first korean band EVER, somewhat similar to what radiohead did, to release independently an album that gave them almost no profit.

and so much for some "lame" band. the front man graduated from Stanford, yes, the ivy league school in u.s.

u gotta respect intelligence. and... in this case, yourself.

  • Honestly, who gives a fuck about Rihanna?

Rihanna's a whore who has shitty music

  • i think it's different ~ epik high's way better ! O:

    different notes

  • truetrueTRUE. haha.

epik high's version is more exciting, has more edge, and shows how awesome they are.

    (:

  • Chord progression can't be copyrighted.

What, do you think Disney owns 'C minor' scale?

    As a law consideration,

it does not count it as plugiarism.

Even though it is walking on thin ice. =/

  • The only similar thing is the name. Lyrics, rhtym, everything is differen.t

And Epik High's version is much more clever, there's no ela-ela-ela-eh-eh-ela-ela thing.

  • They are entirely different songs

  • son igualitas y la cancion de umbrella de rihanna es de MJ asi que ella entones la plagio XD. No compares Epik High con Rihanna XD

  • club remix - perhaps the DJ plagiarised epik high?

epik high has a reputation to put up. -

i dont think they are similar...

    different beat and notes.

  • Well for starters, the chord progressions are totally different. Rihanna's has a lighter more major feel to it. Epik High's is more minor. Just because they used similar sounds for their melody and harmony doesn't mean Epik High copied Rihanna. Synthesizers are synthesizers, just like guitars are guitars. And One is sooo much better.

  • Notes are different, not the same chords in the background

    its not the same o-o;

  • now i'm not saying if anybody ripped off anybody. I LOVE EPIK HIGH! however, i am submersed in the hip hop culture and it's very common for rappers/djs to use samples. many great rappers/djs use samples from old classics (or just plain 'ol songs they happen to like) and mess around with the beats and transform it into their own piece of music. now i'm not saying epik high used Rihanna's song as a sample (who knows, right?), but if they did... it's just a very common practice done by rappers/djs

  • Epik high is the BOMB!

  • No. Epik high's is faster & a different beat. Epik High's is better btw. >_>

  • I don't see it.. i like epic high's melody better and they are different..

  • Comment removed

  • jokes... -_-

  • How the fuck you get confused between the two. They may use the same tools that makes the similar sounds, but its not the same fucking pattern.

If someone is to be guilty of plagiarism, its Rihanna's "Live Your Life" copying O-Zone's "Numa Numa" song. That, for sure, its 100% plagiarism.

  • epik high is way better and Tablo would never do that

    + they sound EXtreemly differant!
