  • At 2:00-2:04.. The prince stopped & looked at Kermit like

"if this b---h keep interrupting me one more time!"

And I'm mad that 1) Rapunzel looked VERY slow" and 2) when she did speak, she has a SUPER STRONG NewYorkian accent!! Lol

"I kyaant heee ya. Kyan ya tuawwwk laudah"

  • "My hair?"

    "YOUR HAIR YEAH!"

  • FUNNY STUFF!

  • For a prince, he's kinda rude!

  • @starfirebianca

Especially right at the end when he he bellows at Rapunzel "OH SHUT UP!!" (wasn't shown in this video).

  • Rapunzel's bald and was wearing an extremely long wig the whole entire time and the prince doesn't even like bald women. XD

Rapunzel probably should use her very long wig as a rope to climb herself down in the first place.

  • The prince looks like Guy Smiley.

  • @AntiVenom36

    A Guy for all seasons...

  • This is wicked funny!!

  • Isn't that Snooki?

  • "WELL LEAVE IT WITH THE FROG!!!!!!!!"

  • If THAT'S what passes as charming, then there must be a lot of princes in the world today, right?

  • LOL!! Yeah down here!!! Right here!!! XD

  • Love the sound of the news flash theme!

  • God prince charming was alot nicer when I was younger what a jerk

  • "Give it to the Frog". LOL.

  • LOL "Get me outta here!"

  • Not only was the ending cut short, they also replaced the original Sesame Street News logo with a newer one from the 1980s.

  • I remeber this so well... I haven't seen this since I was five.... wow....

  • WHAT?!?! You can't say, " Shut up" anymore? WOW.

  • I loved this so so much

  • You know when you think about it, it must have really hurt when the prince climbs Rapunzels hair. Either that or you'd hope that her hair doesn't come out while he's climbing. Just saying.

  • lol funny haha

  • it's Guy Smiley's twin brother!

  • Never distract Prince Charming from his quest, Kermit!

  • Rapunzel: "Get me out of here!!!!" LOL

  • It wasn't too long ago that I saw this one (I think I saw it back in March at some point... idk). Prince Charming didn't even know what he was doing. I felt pretty bad for Kermit because he was only trying to help, but Charming didn't even listen. I agree that he was a total douchebag.

  • WHAT??? WHADYAH SAY... I KEANT HEEAH YA...KEENYA TOWK LOWDAA??? Priceless...Lmao. All of the charm and talent of Sesame street died with Jim Henson. RIP JIM

  • HAHAHAHAHA...Rapunzel has a JERSEY accent...Hilarious....OMG. LMAO!!!!!

  • I think that's Frank OZ playing the prince. It's pretty evident once he starts shouting! LOL

  • Odd.

  • That isn't a Boston accent. It's a Long Island accent.

  • Repunzle has a Boston accent... and Prince Charming is completely out of his mind. I know this because he told his horse to sit...He also would not make a great husband...lots of physical abuse there... I'm sure the great man who wrote this truly romantic story is proud...

  • Repunzle has a Boston accent... and Prince Charming is completely out of his mind. I know this because he told his horse to sit... I'm sure the great man who wrote this truly romantic story is proud...

  • Repunzle has a Boston Accent? >.>

  • HAHA at 0:50 Rapunzel is humping :D

Rapunzal: My what? Let down my what? I still can't hear ya. Can you talk louder?

Prince: RAPUNZAL, RAPUNZAL, LET DOWN YOUR HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Rapunzel just got done with "chemo"! Its just a wig!

  • and the news reporter didnt get rupenzel out

  • Funniest part of the video and Sesame Street and they cut it off...where when he cant find his horse..and starts crying...what you dont see is as he is crying..he yells..."OH SHUT UP!!" To Rapunzel....lol.

  • @texasghost Yeah I remember that part.

  • @texasghost

More politically correct bullshit from some post menopausal woman committee on SesameStreet.dot.org ... for censoring the best part of the video.

  • The same episode where Baby Bear got a haircut

  • Y does rapunzel have a new jersey accient

  • me and my sister love this vid!!!!

  • sound like if they did get together, the prince would be abusive O_o

  • omg she's blad

  • Rapunzel apparently needs some ROGAINE !!!

  • Does anyone know which video/dvd this is on? I'm trying to find it so I can buy it! The other sketch on it I remember is Rhyme Out...

  • So if I wanna be a prince I have to say to damsels "Let down your hair". Good.

  • LOL Kermit belongs to the muppet show though? lol

  • She turned out to be a Grenade!

  • i miss the old sesame street :(

  • @curvycoolmui the old sesame street is best right

  • prince charming has a gangster attitude.

  • They cut off the video right at the part when prince charming is crying over losing his horse...and rapunzel is still yelling at the prince...and right when the video is cut off...I remember Prince Charming yells back at Rapunzel..."Oh shut up!! I lost my horse!!" lol.

  • No offence, Charming, but yo aren't charming at all.

  • I remember waking up to this one morning...it was hilarious!

  • I remember this! I was just waiting for the end part the whole time watched this video.

  • i remember watching this when i was a little kid....i love kermit.

  • My WHAT? lol

  • LOL 2:38 "YOUR HAIR YA YOUR HAIR!" "I dont know.. I'll it with the frog."

  • What? What ja say? I can't hear ya, could you tawk louda!! She sounds like my grandma Yetta from Brooklyn!! LOL!! Well leave it with the frog!!

  • omg yes

  • LOVE IT!

  • I've watched this since I was about 3..15 years later, I STILL know every line and recite it to my little sisters. We all laugh so hard at this. This is definitely a classic skit from Sesame Street. :)

  • @gothicgrace I'm 43 and 30 yrs later I STILL remember all the words too! Jim Henson and co created magic.

  • They cut out the last part where the Prince tells her to shut up and he's off to find his horsey!

  • YES BITCH YOUR HAIR!!! XD

  • YES YOUR HAIIRR!!!!! DOWN HERE!!!!!GOT IT??!!

  • On the scene my man Kermit.

  • EMMO PRINCESS!

  • so freaken hilarious

  • What a brat...he didn't deserve her..

  • You want me to let down my hair? YOU GOT IT

  • Rapunzel Rapunzel let down your hair.

    MY WHAT!!!

  • Prince reminds me of both John Cleese and Bruce Campbell.

  • RIOT!

  • Was having dinner at Ruby Tuesday last month when this came up on the screen. My friends and I stopped what we were doing and we were falling all over ouryselves in delight. Definitely one of the best sesame street sketches ever!! I miss the good ole days of Sesame Street!

  • That violin twang was scary as a kid, when the hair falls down. I lost my horsey!! Funny!!

  • WOW amazing! :D Never fails to make me laugh. Definitely a favorite NewsFlash clip of mine.

  • i love the original so sesame street. i absolutly hate what theyve done the show latley. it makes me so angry

  • You can't say things like "Shut Up" any more in a kid's show. Another sad reality of today's wimp culture.

  • Thank you

  • @parkercadie1 You could NEVER say "shut up" in a kid's show back then because it's rude. But "today" it is possible because even kids are rude! :-s

  • Rapunzel is from Jersey

  • When Sesame Street was awesome. Now that psycho Elmo has taken over! : (

  • LOL I LOVE IT XDDD ITS SOOOO FUNNY!

    "YOUR HAIR!"

    "My hair?"

"YOU GOT IT!, YOUR HAIR, DOWN HERE!"

    "okay"

  • the prince has some anger issues lol

  • That's one terrible weave!!!! ROMAL!!!!!!

  • Rapunzel's from brooklyn? lol

  • love the way prince charming makes his enterance

  • leave it with the frog he's right there that line cracks me up

  • And the prince got turned off quick after he saw she was bald,LOL!!!!!!

  • Classic Sesame, the best!

For all your custom-built puppet needs visit Oliver's website on the profile link above.

  • Good Lord, that loud, New Yorker voice! Ouch! I'm sorry if I offended those who love this skit, but this is not my favorite Rapunzel. Personally, I like the Rapunzel from Elmo's World better. You know, where Elmo talks about hair. Yeah, she had a softer voice. Easy on the ears.

  • boston accent by rapunzel LOVE IT!

  • @charby09

    I think that's a New Yawk accent! : D

  • "I'll leave it with the frog!" LMFAO

  • After the Prince Charming's horse was missing when he was ready to leave Rapunzel trapped high up in the tower, how could he just give up looking for his "horsey" immediately and instead have a search party: have all the king's horses and all the king's men help Prince Charming find his "horsey?" He was just so caught up in moment of losing his "horsey" that he lost all emotional control and broke down as if his "horsey" was his best friend which I can understand as a pet owner. Just saying.

  • wow! this was great and so funny omg!!

  • Heh heh heh. This has always been my favourite Sesame Street sketch.

  • Fking lol'd

  • Leave it with the FROG!!

  • Rapunzel sounds like a heavy smoker from Jersey.

  • @eyepatchinc ...hahahahahhha

  • Rapunzel:Get me out of here! LOL!

  • @awinx99able i dont get how it's lol

  • Brilliant. Brings back a lot of memories and laughs from my childhood. Gotta love her Brooklyn accent. SS had a great sense of humor back then.

  • Hehe, I love the little fanfare that plays when Prince Charming enters

  • OMG I LOVED THIS SKIT AS A CHILD! XD Prince Charming got fed up very easily!! I loved his yelling!!!!

    Oh, and this:

    *hair falls*

Rapunzel: What do I do now?

    Prince: O___o....i don't know. -_-....

    XD Classic!

  • i kno yer =D lol

  • Aw heck they cut off the best part at the end when the prince and Rapunzel were fighting. LOL!!

  • I think that's cause this is a rerun from the late 1980s when they edited that out due to them thinking the "OH, SHUT UP!" was a bad influence. They also replaced the original Sesame Street News logo at the beginning with the late 1980s version. The original version can be found on DVD, though

  • Prince "Charming"?

    Prince "Arrogant" more like it!

  • "yesh, yesh...go away" LOL

  • LOL!!! Hilarious! When Sesame Street used to be cool, hip, and funny!

  • she has a "New Yawk" accent

  • This skit made wigs and weave very popular. LOL Sesame Street was truly ahead of its time.

  • Hair?

I would use the wallhack and go up the ladder :P

  • that was funny. my little nieces started to laugh at that part the whole time.

  • In the 31st episode of Ovide (yes that blue platypus), "All You Need Is Love," one part was where he was watching what the TV hostess said was Romeo & Juliette, but to me it looked more like Rapunzel because it showed a yellow-haired woman in a tower with a prince holding his hands to her.

  • "What do i do now?"

"i dont know" he said as suddenly loses interest in her

  • aaaa i remember watching a play like that but when the prince was climbing the hair the princess fell out of the castle on top of him lol

  • THat Prince has a lot of issues (makes it funny)

  • That Prince is so.. So... Whats the word?

  • The best one I can come up with is UNcharming.

  • melodramatic?

  • Hey wait a minute. that prince is not charming at all. "I've lost my horsie!!!" lol.

  • This is SO HILARIOUS!!

  • SOunds like the princess is from Jersey!

  • This sketch is also seen on Old School Volume 1.

  • Only a tad longer. In this one, the cut out the part where he says "Oh Shut Up".

  • Seems like Prince Charming has some anger management issues.

    This is classic stuff!!!

  • And what a fool, to leave the second he finds out she's not a natural blonde!

  • omg, we used to do this skit when we and my sisters were kids. We loved it, and would fall laughing when the princess would say I cant hear ya

  • hmm..Prince Charming is like a mix between Bruce Campbell and Keanu Reeves...

  • my hair? your hair yes! my hair, you want me to let down my hair? you got it! your hair now! rotflmao! I love the accent of the princess.

  • I also loved the Humpty Dumpty episode of Sesame Street News... This is what made Sesame Street so great... Thanks for the memories and for posting....

  • I used to laugh at these when I was a kid but I still do (possibly even harder) and only now do I truly understand the brilliance and hilarity of these clips!

  • To mellopz about "I used to laugh at these when I was a kid but I still do (possibly even harder) and only now do I truly understand the brilliance and hilarity of these clips!" Same here. I'm glad they're still around, even though not on TV any more (sigh).

  • "Hey, Prince, now what, huh? What do I do now?" "I don't know." "Hey, where ya goin'? What about my hair?" "I'll LEAVE it with the FROG. He's right there!" (Kermit: "But, wait a second...I don't think this is the way the story's supposed to...") ^_~ (Maybe Rapunzel can kiss Kermit and turn him into a prince. ^_~) (Hey, I just noticed...Rapunzel's voice sounds like Elmo! ^_^) (Not the accent. ^_~ The voice. ^_^)
  • Rapunzel may sound a little like Elmo, but its not the same performer. She is performed by Jerry Nelson, he did voices like that for many characters in both Sesame Street and the Muppet Show.

  • To Richard: Well, actually, I DID only say "sounds like". I didn't assume that it necessarily was the same performer.

    However...thanks for the info...that's interesting. ^_^

    =^__^=

  • "Would you mind telling us what your plan is?" "Yes." "You do mind." "Yes." "You won't tell us." "No way." "Oh, well, okay, I see he does not want to divulge the plan." "Are you really, indeed, Prince Charming?" (No, he is, really, indeed, a Muppet. ^_~ When he first enters, you can see the wire hanging down from his arm. ^_~) Hmmm...was that a "my kingdom for a horse" reference there at the end? ^_^ He was definitely looking for his "horsie". ^_^
  • I remember this one. I have always liked Kermit. He rocks!!!

  • Rapunzel: "GET ME OUTTA HEEEEYYYAAAA...!!!"

    Lmao!
