Honestly, the king tiger would just sit on top of the hill and shoot (read: rape) anything in a .75 mile radius (about 1 km). The reason it doesn't just kill everything is for balancing purposes, because CoH is a GAME

@aidfrombosna The German tanks cost much sure but the Americans can easily take it out with inf which is what people do in COH. KT are really never fought with other tanks but they use inf such as rangers, paratroopers and riflemen who simply sticky bomb it, kill it with bazookas from behind. American troops are also less expensive than German troops and they got more men to lose so they can always stay in a fight much longer than german inf can.

@aiyaka1984 Hope you at least had the PhysX drivers installed, I remember on my desktop 8600GT, once they released those drivers, CoH recommended high physics instead of medium and even after that I still saw an FPS increase too. Are you running the latest drivers right now(258.96)?

I was playing as the US vs two KTs today and it took out two pershings, 5 shermans and all the while they took five Calliope barrages. They killed everything, backed off and got healed outside of my Calliope range. Those things have insane armour.

@Blaiseingfire Actually only around 500 I think and it's rather insignificant because they are severely out numbered and under-fueled. The Americans had tens of thousands of tanks. The 6000 Panthers and 9000 Panzer IV's probably played a much larger role than those Konigstiger.

The German crew members didn't sit in the tigers thinking "hum I'm 9 against tanks and the Shermans can't penetrate my armor, so I can 1v5 them". When you are outnumbered at more than 10:1(There were more than 40k Shermans alone and only 1400Tigers) would you not shit your pants? In fact the Allies had found a number of abandoned TigerI and TigerII's that were in good shape.

I would argue against it being superior since it had mechanical problems and its engine and other mechanisms were probably much harder to fix than those of the Allied tanks. I say probably because I don't know, I know it was the case with the Panther.

Churchills are not mean to be tank destroyers, they are anti inf and light vehicle. If you look closely, almost all the damage done to the KT was done by an Anti tank gun that is airdropped near the trench at the beginning but he moves the camera away so you can't see it well. If he had 2 fireflies and a churchill to take hits the tiger would have been in trouble. A single 25 lb AT gun plus a Churchill could have beat it.

40mm? The Mk. I and II were armed with the QF 2 pounder 37mm. And the III and IV were equipped with the QF 6 pounder. Otherwise known as the 57mm gun. The VII had the QF 75mm. The one in CoH is the IV, equipped with the 57mm. The Churchill Crocodile was the Mk.VII, therefore having a 75mm main gun, which should be more effective than the normal one.
