best thing to do is if you get another guitar always keep it in a dropped tuning, you dont wanna change your tuning about too much if you can help it.
i already do that, but with my second guitar i keep it for really low tunings like drop c and drop b, cause iut requires thicker strings and stuff. for drop d and doing things like tuning a half step down i use my guitar with light guage strings.
playing the song a half step down means tuning down, I take it playing it one fret lower is what you meant? I was asking incase there was any open Eb's in it, cause if there is then you don't really have a choice

yes, sorry i meant that =P, and in case of some Eb's well you can find another different way to play it, it's a cover song you can add your own style
