Well, as long as you don't press R2, it's not a matter of maintaining speed, but a matter of getting this speed on the downhill section... you have to slide very tight in the e-brake corner and boost late... the longer you're able to boost downhill, the more speed you will build up ;)

And the more speed you achieve there, the more speed you will be able to maintain until the last corner. That's why the e-brake corner is so important. ;)

Ehm apparently I'm still doing something wrong... I let go of boost and R2 at 1:00 and start pressing both again at 1:07 Now by doing this I only lose a second :( Is the R2 + boost thing what I do wrong, or is it just the fact that I suck with rigs? xD

It's the fact that you don't get the high speed in the downhill section... and that's a matter of your performance in the e-brake corner... make sure you only hit it very very slightly :)

Thanks for the tip :) I kind of noticed this afternoon how much faster I go with a good e-brake corner, but it's nice to actually hear it from an MSPR master :)
