  • Nice sounding, can't tell it's plugged in. Authentic !

  • John, you're close to being a one-man blues guitar museum collection...excellent that you love to PLAY them all, not put them in glass cases.

  • @Glaeken1961

Hehe, yeah, I try to play them all from time to time.. :-)

  • Did you turn off the camera mike while recording this or are we getting a blended sound which would explain why it all sounds so good? If you did, then I'd want to buy this pickup. Piezo usually sounds atrocious.

  • @charlesdespres

Nope, what you hear is the mix of piezo and natural sound!! In a 70/30% mix, approx..

And that's the way to go I think, the only reason(for me) to use a pickup would be to have an easier way to get much volume on stage, keepin' a microphone in front of the guitar for the acoustic tone and mixing it with the pickup in the above mentioned %.. Less risk for feedback and great tone!!

But I never do this actually, I always play through a mic these days!! :-)

  • @BottleneckJohn NICE slide playing. I'm hearing a lot of room/mic signal mixed in there.

  • With the piezo installed, can you get "modern", distorted sound (on an electric amp of course)? I'm thinking about getting a resonator guitar.

    Good playing also!

  • I have no idea, never tried to distort a piezo..

  • @CubeableGame You can get distorted sound from any guitar with a pickup of any kind (even out of a classic guitar through a mic) if you use a distortion pedal or crank the pre or post of your amp. Now, will it sound good? That's subjective, so just try it.

  • omfg,

    want that guitar

so beautiful and sounds so fukin nice

  • It's a nice one for sure!

  • omg nice playing man!!!!!!! thats just some sweet blues.....

  • Thanks for the comments!!

  • i love that bending the Eb to the F thing

sounds soooo badass on a dobro

  • What kind of amp is it plugged in to?

  • I use the ROLAND AC-60, a really nice acoustic amp. Works as a small PA for my smaller gigs..

  • seriously how much for the faux reso, thats deep mississippi blue

  • I just can't sell it!!!! It's awesome..

(Send a PM with an offer.. LoL)

  • Så ska det låta om en gitarr! Gratta Linette i efterskott från mig!/Mike

  • Tack Micke!

  • I'm happy this worked out so well, too !!!

Though You always sound good !!!

Give 5 stars to the guits or You ? Hmmm,

I give them to You Bro ! But please, give your good friend a regard !

    Peace !

    Urban

  • Peace, bro!

    Thanks for commenting!!!

  • Sounds sweet and without feedback ! Just great for stage performing and far less than other expensive professional solution

  • Nice touch! I'd like to see what kind of piezos you are using. perhaps you can post a clip showing the pickups and their placement??

  • Thanks!

The piezos are pretty normal piezo stuff, not something that you can buy on the market though..

    YET..!!! ;)

All placed under the top, under the bridge apart from the one on the faux-bro which is placed ON the top under the coverplate!

  • fuck i luv that guit, unbelieavable. thats the money right there, geez the bass notes are sweet, the middle is punchy and the highs are sweet as sugar pie.

how much u want for it, ha-ha

    Enjoy!

  • Haha, thanks a lot for that!!

Sorry, these guitars are keepers.. :)

  • sounds really excellent plugged in, the playing doesn't hurt either!

  • Thank you very much, glad to hear that you dig the sound!!!!

    I'm happy with the result..

  • HI -yes realy good sound -i like it -greetings from germanny winni

  • Love the way you play, Mr. BottleneckJohn!

Great sounds in masterful hands, you done gave me the Blues this mornin'!

Thank you, my brother, Tak Tak! ;D best wishes! ;)

  • Thanks Paul!!

    Tack så mycket!!

Been checking your videos out, just ..amazing...

My jaw drops everytime I hear you play!!

Keep up the awesome work, bro!

  • your guitars sound real good with Piezo...

  • Yeah, it sounds quite OK!

Piezo is a great way to amplify if one can find the right spot to place the pickup!!!

  • Great sound I must get a pickup or mic for my resonator and plug it into my amp. I see the bridge on the 12 string was very close to the tailpiece. Never saw that before. There usually far away from it for intonation reasons I think. Great video as always keep the blues comin!

  • Some pickups are great for reso's, make a clip when you've installed it!!!!
