Try clicking directly on the My OPL tab to access your new personal landing page. If you are having further trouble accessing it, ask at your local library.
I'd still have two steps where there was one step before. It could be worse, I could be a starving child in Rwanda but for the grace of God, and I'm not even religious.
I'd like to have back the first page having the blank login space so I don't have to click to get to it. And before it filled in my login info for me after the first number now I have to type in that long card no. that I almost forgot.
Thank you for your feedback. We're always interested in hearing what users think. Two tips about login you may find helpful:
-you can login with your username which is easy to remember. If you are unsure what your username is, login with your library card number and then look at the top-right hand corner, where it will say 'logged in as x'.
-if you are logging in from your personal computer, you may want to select the 'remember me on this computer' check box on login.
The new bells and whistles in no way make up for the ridiculous decision to make logging in more cumbersome.
Taking the login fields out of the initial "MyVPL" page, leaving just that useless "recently rated" column, and adding a totally unnecessary step where you have to click through to a separate login page is not in any conceivable way any kind of improvement.
It's Saturday now, but I'll be launching into a campaign of incessant complaint-calls on Monday.
Thanks for your feedback. It is always good to know how users feel (good or bad) about the changes to the catalogue. We look for trends in user feedback to plan future changes. So, thanks for taking the time to let us know what you think!
Hey mahala1971 - Sorry to hear you are having login issues. Please contact your library and they will be able to sort out the issue you are having with your account.
If you are looking for information about the digital library materials (e.g. ebooks) that you have checked out you will need to login to service where you downloaded them from. If you have further questions, please ask at your library.

Finally i can keep a list of all the books I have read. This is going to be great as quite often I take out books I have already read.

But I digress and so did your reply.
