  • What stupid waste of money....but don't blame the poor little cloned kittens. It's not their fault people couldn't do something more creative like a time machine (That could be VERY useful, but not in our lifetime) or something to talk to animals.

  • that much money for a controversial and wastful concept?

what a ripoff I must say.

  • Poor soulless cat.

  • @Germanboy567 Doesnt not have a soul, its soul is just duplicated?

  • I found my cat in a church parking lot. Adoption fee = free!

    Nuff said.

  • more expensive then the $22,000 cat hybrid

  • What a disgusting waste of money and resources. That money could have been used toward spay and neuter clinics to help cut down on the already out of control cat population.

  • that's disgusting cloning animals or humans it's just disgusting....science should do more research for things that we really need and not this omg -.-

  • @LaraOsaki707 why is cloning disgusting?

  • there are so many homeless cats and these stupid bird brains go ahead and CLONE them???

wtf!! if people are so interested in cloning, why don't they test it on themselves hugh??

  • ...because there's already enough people living.

  • Comment removed

  • Cloning occurs naturally with identical twins.

  • why would u want a clone of a cat when u can get a homeless one

  • I so agree with you..

  • @1313owner even better why would you have a cat at all

  • @Masteruny because cats are awsome and deserve to be cared for plus would u ta away thousands of years of domestication

  • @Masteruny Because cats are wonderful companions and pest reducers, idiot.

  • That's what I was thinking as I watched it. They're cute but I'd rather get a cat from a shelter that has a better chance of living longer.

  • lol, metal gear solid

  • so - expect them on a magazine cover near you.

or you could just go to the shelter see if they have scared cat about to go into labour.

much more fun in long run - spend additional thousands on buying floating island surrounded by pretty goldfish...

  • Too similar? They are the same, it's like looking at the mirror.

  • A reflection of a mirror

  • cloning means no sex.....sucks

  • unless you fuck the clones

  • what are you, a fucking animal pornographer? sick basterd...

  • But thats the thing they are Not twins, so they SHOULDNT have the same genetic code. Start doing this and your just asking to alter their DNA..Like putting bioluminescence cells in them so they can glow in the dark (yes they did that).

  • ctrl+c

    ctrl+v

huh... real life is like cyber world nowadayz -.-' o.O

  • um ok honsetly thats retarded to clone animals like seriously wats the friking difference???? dude all u have to do is breed them and BOOM more of tha same animal nad no need to waste money for cloning....

  • It's called scientific research and advances.

  • you don't seem to understand the scientific value. these cats are like twins. they are EXACTLY the same in genetic code. There isn't one gene in them that is different.

  • you no what natures way of cloning is?? LETTING THEM MATE!! they always say nutter and spade your animals. But in years to come when these $50 000 fakies are in bulk and real cats are slim pickings because all the cats had no balls to reproduce!! lol

But this is nothing compared to GenPets. Now that is on a hole another level

  • I don't know why but I have no nice feeling towards cloning animals on the whole , and I'm NOT religious !

  • one day they wil clone criminals and make millions of armies to fight the wars for you :P

  • That was Star Wars episode 1 bro

  • talk about self-hatred...

  • aww so cute! <3 copycats hehe

  • these are 1000000000~ lives catz instead of 9 haha

  • this is sooo cool, poor cats though. they wont live as long as they would normaly.

  • Science fiction. they will have long normal lives.

  • really? i always thought because the dna extracted was aged. the newborn kittens were born with "not new" dna. isnt that what happened with the first cloned sheep dolly? it developed symptoms of aging at a much too early age. like arthritice n such. (however you spell it) lol it was a while ago so maybe things have changed and it was a long time ago since i read about cloning so yeah. im probably waaaayyy off.

  • What are clones made out of?

  • Double your pleasure, double your fun it's a statement of the great mint in Doublemint Gum... CLONE GUM!

  • Puklop: XD!!!!!!

  • I wanna pet them!

  • OMG...Cloned kittens are just as cute as Regular kittens...

  • its intresting of coarse....

but its more usefull to test for genetic disease so we can breed healtier animals...

cloning does nothing usefull for genetic diversity.

this might fasinate those race purist gits who obsess about specific trait at the cost of the animals health and genetic diversity.

i hate those kinds of idiots!

  • Cloned cats at $50k a pop?? Save your money - there are thousands of cats in shelters all over the US who need good loving homes. Save your money, go look in the shelters and save a life.

  • Why clone cats when you can clone humans and kill the original,.. it will be just like cloning sheep >.>

  • Meowy Wowwy!!! :P

  • Why are we cloning cats when he have hundreds upon thousands set to death everyday due to irresponsible owners. I dont like this at all. If you have the resource and money to do this, why not make put it to proper use.

  • Totally agree with u on that !!!!!!

  • Comp, I was wondering the same thing.

In the US, about four million cats are euthanized every year. Very sad, but around 1990, the number was 15 million. So at least we're making progress.

$50,000 for a cat? How many cats could be spay/neutered for that money?

  • You're all shortsighted. Not everything is about creating pets for rich assholes. They're not mass producing cats. These cats are just the product of a (so far) successful scientific process. If you're saying a cloning company should be explicitly worried about the world cat population, then who shouldn't be? I'm sure you spend plenty of money that could otherwise be donated to giving cats better homes.

  • Ditto!!! That's what I think! It's pretty sad that we have people adding to a swollen population for monetary gain( and that's all breeders) and those who look for a stylized cat instead of one who needs a home. Twisted notions. I have four. All of them once were strays and nobody could find a better group of cats.

  • @Comp3630 we can save animals going endangered by this you know.

  • Too cute!! :D

  • totally...
