really? i always thought because the dna extracted was aged. the newborn kittens were born with "not new" dna. isnt that what happened with the first cloned sheep dolly? it developed symptoms of aging at a much too early age. like arthritice n such. (however you spell it) lol it was a while ago so maybe things have changed and it was a long time ago since i read about cloning so yeah. im probably waaaayyy off.

In the US, about four million cats are euthanized every year. Very sad, but around 1990, the number was 15 million. So at least we're making progress.

You're all shortsighted. Not everything is about creating pets for rich assholes. They're not mass producing cats. These cats are just the product of a (so far) successful scientific process. If you're saying a cloning company should be explicitly worried about the world cat population, then who shouldn't be?
