I love this song, I sang it with my women's chorus last year. My only critique is for the alto's (our's had this problem too) The line "And when my mother died" is sung very bold and loud, I would suggest bringing down the dynamic levels on that part since it is a sensitive part of the song. Overall I enjoyed it!
I heard it on a local classical station--WCPE 89.7--in North Carolina. Someone from Raleigh requested it during the Sunday morning programming. I was glad to find it on the web.
a very beautiful song. And so very meaningful. My church choir has done this piece before. It always makes me cry.
