What if David Carr actually just sucks? He sucked in Carolina and San Francisco as well. The guy simply sucks. This guy has stole so much money from these NFL franchises, he should be thrown in jail for theft.

@ECLRG10 Well, I do agree with you up to a point (i.e. that he's a genuine draft bust and you can't blame it all on the Texans' line or bad coaching or whatever). However, he didn't "steal" the money, he genuinely tried. If you want to talk about highway robbery talk about either Ryan Leaf or JaMarcus Russell.

Yeah the texans organization is the worst of all time. Down from the owner to the coaching staff. They knew they needed O-lines for Carr but couldn't get it done. They only drafted a QB to bring in cash they care nothing about Carr. HC Gary Kubiak was brought in to make Carr better but quit on Carr and the team failed him.

In fact, Jordan Black is considered one of the worst FA pickups by Rick Smith. Granted Studdard and Frye turned out to be decent depth for us eventually, I don't even recall seeing them on the field that year.

carr WOULD sack him self half the time, even with limited pressure coming his way. i always loved how he would dump it off to the RB, or look short on a 3rd and really long situation. thats 5 years we will never have back!

@chris371 The Texans did not have a great O line during Carr's tenure however Carr made them look worse than they were. He makes good lines look bad and often sacks himself by panicking in the pocket, holding on to the ball too long, and his infamous running out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage routine.

Even during garbage time with the Giants he would look like he was running for his life, where Eli would stand behind that same line and produce.
