Even though I can't agree with what you are saying, I see you've a strong faith in your beliefs & very likely have strong reasons for believing as you do, and when you have such strong convictions which you hold onto them; that's what I do too. If I believe something's true, by the grace of God through His Son, I would hold to it, unless I was convinced otherwise. God does not desire that we should blindly give up what we believe without sufficient evidence for doing so, you know?

He told me that I need to have evidence for why I believe and I received enough evidence to make a logical conclusion that the Catholic Church was the one and only church founded and established by Jesus Christ. I am Catholic. I grew up in an observant Catholic family. I am deeply spiritual. I don't trust Catholic Charismatic Renewal. I don't believe the movement is a work of the Holy Spirit. It resembles a cult. My own experiences with it taught me it was a lot of show. It was theater. Above all it created a void in the participants psyche. The members were out of touch with reality and worst of all believed they had a special relationship with god that others didn't.

But 2 years ago The holy spirit changed my life in a day. Even my family and friends couldn't accept the change,Today Many miracles are happening through the work of Spirit among us and many no believers comes back to faith. Some lose their Charisms, due to sinful life, pride, or by misusing the Charisms etc. I have met many Catholic Christians with amazing gifts. One thing I observed is that they are very humble and always act in absolute obedience to the magisterium of the Church. Humility and obedience are two of the virtues by which we can test the spirit.

This documentary has many issues within the first minute. The Charismatic Renewal of the Catholic Church was directly related to the Charismatic Renewal in Protestantism.The individuals went to the Protestant Church to receive the baptism of the Spirit. It was not "sovereign" as the woman said. They were reading "Cross and the Switchblade" and attending renewal meetings.
This documentary leaves out the fact many were attending Protestant churches and Pentecostal books when they received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Many were kicked out for this. I met one congregation in Brooklyn.

Wow, um, I'd like to say that the argument below is pretty ridiculous; but I can say that the "charismatic" aspect of our Catholic faith has had a great impact on my life. It is as much a part of our faith as the "Traditional." I mean, both are rpesented in the Bible and we each need both to some degree. Speaking in tongue was that the Apostles could speak to others who did not know their words. Not the foolishness of talking in otter nonsense. I am a catholic, I disagree with the church on a few issues, but the fact is Christians are all a like, we believe in Christ and that is all that matters, pentecoste, baptist, seventh adventist, catholic, protestant are basically the same thing, we believe in Christ and follow his commandments, and if we do our best god knows! He told me that I need to have evidence for why I believe and I received enough evidence to make a logical conclusion that the Catholic Church was the one and only church founded and established by Jesus Christ. I am Catholic. I grew up in an observant Catholic family. I am deeply spiritual. I don't trust Catholic Charismatic Renewal. I don't believe the movement is a work of the Holy Spirit. It resembles a cult. My own experiences with it taught me it was a lot of show. It was theater. Above all it created a void in the participants psyche. The members were out of touch with reality and worst of all believed they had a special relationship with god that others didn't.

Some lose their Charisms, due to sinful life, pride, or by misusing the Charisms etc. I have met many Catholic Christians with amazing gifts. One thing I observed is that they are very humble and always act in absolute obedience to the magisterium of the Church. Humility and obedience are two of the virtues by which we can test the spirit.

This documentary has many issues within the first minute. The Charismatic Renewal of the Catholic Church was directly related to the Charismatic Renewal in Protestantism.The individuals went to the Protestant Church to receive the baptism of the Spirit. It was not "sovereign" as the woman said. They were reading "Cross and the Switchblade" and attending renewal meetings.

This documentary leaves out the fact many were attending Protestant churches and Pentecostal books when they received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Many were kicked out for this. I met one congregation in Brooklyn.

@100PercentCatholic ,ive been to both,& all i can say is,if the Holy Spirit is present,there is absolutely no difference,religion/denominations has no part in the revival one gets in his heart,for it is the relationship between you & God that is affected,not the denomination. Im Catholic by Religion,but remember a religious lifestyle is not the key,but a faithful one (e.g.catholic person who goes mass every week, confession monthly etc & visits brofels & drink is worse of then a faithful person)

Since the renewals of the mid 60s church attendance dropped by 96% in absolute numbers, only the several Latin Masses are well attended. This proves the success of the renewals? True also for Belgium were the situation is even more desperate....

Wow, um, I'd like to say that the argument below is pretty ridiculous; but I can say that the "charismatic" aspect of our Catholic faith has had a great impact on my life. It is as much a part of our faith as the "Traditional." I mean, both are rpesented in the Bible and we each need both to some degree. But either way, authentic charismatic life is always rooted deeply in the Church, with the Pope and Magesterium. Dynamic orthodoxy. :)

Jesus revealed the love of God to sinners but he criticised the pharisees, who were misleading others. Jesus said that: " Blind will lead the blind to the pit." Does it mean he was full of hatred? Please accept the fact that THE CHARISMATIC BAPTISM HAS BEEN COMPLETELY REJECTED BY VATICAN AS TRUE BAPTISM since CHARISMATIC BAPTISM does not have THE TRINITARIAN FORMULA & WATER AS THE MATTER OF BAPTISM.
