In a perverse way the Titanic sinking did a lot of good. After that all ships had to have radio, enough lifeboats for all plus lifeboat drills. Ships now take a more southerly route to cross the Atlantic, also the International Ice Patrol was formed, no ships have been sunk by icebergs since then. All of which could have been done before the Titanic sunk, but it seems disasters have to happen before precautions are taken.

that was kind of wrong, towards the end. because the ship didnt just go vertical and then sink, it went vertical, then broke into 2 pieces, first half went down, and brought the end with it, then they split completely, the front sank, and the end just bobbed there for a bit, THEN sank. just sayin. 1. The Titanic didn't sit that low in the water.

2. It split in half as the hull couldn't take the strain of holding the aft section up.

3. Why would the Titanic blow it's horn at an object that can't move.

4. The Titanic only damaged 5 compartments not the whole Starboard side.

5. The funnels fell down.

6. The Titanic would have had smoke coming out of only three of the four funnels as the fourth was for ventilation.
