The best of Portuguese bullfight is really the horses, to see their performance in the arena is great. Now, Spanish bullfight is something completely, cruel and bloody, don't like it.
I am living in portugal at the moment and I think its safe to say that the horse almost never gets hurt. Of all the times Ive been to a bull fight not one horse was seriously injured. Also, the bull doesnt feel the pain because of the adrenline, and you may be wondering what happens afterwords. We dont just leave the bull to hurt, there are a group of well trained vets who stitch the wounds up and the bull will be fine in about a week.
Just "love" how ppl who knows nothing about bullfighting in Portugal make ridiculous comments =) seriously ppl, if you HAVE to comment, then at least know the facts! Bet this bull is gonna have one hell of a life after this! This is about showing the skill of the amazing horses =)
@Clarinetification eating meat and torturing an animal like this is completely different. In the US we have slaughter houses where, yes, it is stressful and scary for the cow, but they are killed quickly with a stun to the head. Unlike in the bull fighting they tormented, made angry, and are stabbed multiple times till they die. Completely different situations than making meat here.

Thats a lie...no one signs nothing...its the Bull owenr that states if the bull is killd or not, and it is donne in a slaughterhouse, as any other animal. And if it was a nice bull or if his owener liked him, they spend hundreds of euros to treat them, 1 bull as just one figth in his life.

we dont have fox hunting anymore and a fit fox can escape. a fit bull has no escape.

Bulls are not hurt or killed in Portuguese bullfights. And these horses are trained - for years - to perform their magnificent work with the bulls.
