@TheHaloChief117 Actualy in the comics Harry was the second Green Goblin. The Hobgoblin was someone completly diferent. Rhoughi i hear in the Ultimate continuity hes the hobgoblin....but in Ultimate comics the Green Goblin looks like a messed up version of the Hulk that throws fireballs. I think they messed up with the reimagining of alot o characters there.

Only thing cool about the next series "Ultimate Spider-Man" is the Paul Dini will be doing some of the plots... He did Batman TAS and Arkham Asylum and Arkham City plots + Stan Lee = A great series

I swear, Greg Weisman must really have pulled off a big chunk of the shit stick because both of his well-produced series got canceled. This and Gargoyles, both shows that were very unique with their actions, characterization, and arcs... and they both get canceled, or tampered with, for something that most of the fanbase clearly disagrees with.

I love what they do with the goblin. Literally, about everybody and their mother knew norman was the green goblin. They even made us think he was, then they throw in the twist with harry, the portrayal of norman's surprise, i even thought harry was the green goblin. It especially adds to the villainy of the goblin.

@Theworgen100 Spidey's kind of unique in that he has three arch nemeses whereas most heroes have one definitive one (Superman and Lex Luthor, Batman and the Joker, etc). He's got Goblin, Venom, and Octopus. However, if you had to pick, Osborn is the biggest one because their enmity is the most personal, since in the comics, Osborn killed Gwen Stacy, and did it just to dick around with Peter.

1) Very well played by Norman Osborn. Winder if the series went any farther, if he would have gone on to set Harry to continue a Goblin legacy (which kind of happened in the comics, anyway).

2)Neat tie in to Venom (symbiote). Predictable, but neat. Besides, John Jameson was an astronaut, and his shuttle did once nearly crash in the comics. (1st issue).

this should have been the conclussion to the Goblin story. this would have been such a great twist, even for fans, and it would have been great development for both Norman and Harry. but instead, we got the much lamer conclussion in season 2, making Norman into a predictable villain, and Harry's substance abuse having no reprucussions. season 2 is fail, especially since it has a cliffhanger ending and no season 3.

i'm just saying that i like that route better is all. when i say perdictable, i don't mean his plan, that was actually pure Goblin greatness. i mean that anyone who knows anything about the comics knows that Norman was the Green Goblin, so making it Harry would have been an exellent plot twist that even fans wouldn't have seen coming. as for the "no repercussions" thing, yeah i guess that came out wrong. my point is, this just worked better for me.

I personally think it will be a good next season. The producers expect it to come out between January and April of 2010. Should be, as the phrase is used so very often, epic.

@PaleoRAS Looking at it after the last season, it is a wonderful performance - now that I know he's doing it, you can really see how he's manipulating the situation so that Spiderman will keep things quiet, and keeping the blame off himself.

Still, with Harry's mood swings and obvious mental aftereffects from the Green (we still don't know what was actually happening when he blacked out), it would've been interesting to see what it would've been like if Harry really was the Goblin.
