Just to let everyone know ... this is not the "actual" Copperhead Road line dance choreographed by Steve Smith. I am not sure where this dance came from but it really frustrates us line dancers who get bombarded on the floor by this other dance. If you want to learn the real dance meant for this song ... i'm in the air force and we just had a ball last wek. after the formal part was over, we had a dj and this was a song he played. the dance sounds awesome with 50 something people, all with hard soled shoes, stomping at the same time on a wood floor.

Down here in Texas, instead of doing the first two kicks, we do a side step and slide to the right and a side step and slide to the left. No telling how many different versions of this dance there are out there!
