I Don't Know why but I love Burnerman's theme, it is pretty catch. I use to hate it but now i really enjoy it. Burnerman does totally look like a psychotic Pyro though.

3 way tie for my favor theme between Coldman, Groundman and Pirateman.

1. Ground Man - Sounds like something you'd expect from a stage band, and I love love LOVE that friggin' Hammond Organ! :-D (I used to have a Hammond myself)

2. Pirate Man - I've heard a better version of this one. In any case, it sounds more like an MM track than pretty much anything from MM7.

3. Astro Man - you're gonna shoot me for this, but I actually prefered this version to MM8's. :-p It has a very haunting, trippy quality that the other one lacks.

@AgentDC76 4. Cold Man - in spite of the chime lead (I hate chime leads), the jazz chords and geetarz more than make up for it. I like the background spheres as well. Bassline and drums are awesome.

5. Tengu Man - what it lacks in MM8's perkiness, it makes up for with a somewhat annoying clarinettish lead. I dig that baseline, though.

6. Magic Man - like Clown Man, this is an exception to my "perky music = MM fail" rule. I'll leave it at that. :-p

7. Dynamo Man - not bad, not really my thing.

Tengu Man - Meh. Plain. Not something I expect for a Japanese goblin. Doesn't suck though.

Ground man's theme is awesome! For me its tied with Top Man as my favorite RM theme of all time. I agree that Burner Man's looks awesome. Also his level is actually forest themed which is why his music sounds like that.

@mopbrothers Yeah, man, I had the same problem. (Cold Man and Ground Man raped me repeatedly.) This game, for some reason, was really hard! Then, somehow, I got the hang of it and beat it. I hated the fact that Bass did very little damage with his shots. Bosses simply took a long time to kill.

Boss theme is awesome! Astro Man is just way too calm. Tengu Man is decent, but his stage is annoying. Cold Man is cool. Dynamo Man stage theme is my favourite from the game, but Dynamo Man himself is an asshole! Pirate Man is decent. Magic Man's kinda like Clown Man, except his theme is WAY better than Clown Man's. Ground Man is awesome! Burner Man is meh. Final boss is epic!

Might be the absolute hardest MM game, especially the bosses. Astro, Burner, Dynamo, and Magic are all a challenge without their weaknesses, and even the easier bosses aren't entirely cake walks.

Anyways, the tunes are hit and miss, but Cold Man's song is a real highlight. Amazing tunes. Same with Pirate Man.

I would love to hear Burner Man's music in 8-bit. Here it sounds kind of cheesy like it could fit in with a Nick Jr. program. Give that an 8-bit rendition (using Triforce or some other VST) and it could sound great.

The game itself isn't bad. Playing as Bass/Forte makes it too easy, though. His double jump and dash eliminate much of the game's difficulty; and his rapid-fire shots can be aimed vertically or diagonally, making it even easier to wipe enemies out.
