  • @Senninha1960 If its the new DCT, yeah...

  • @R4P0S0 Read the date of this post.... The DCT dual clutch trannhy 7-spd did not come out until the 2011 model year available in late July 2010... This race was before May 15th 2010... The paddles on the DCT are also black with a + for upshift anmd - for down shift on the paddles, very visible... This is just a regular paddle shift 6 spd auto....

Yes the new 7-spd DCT is faster than any expert manual tranny driver..

  • Also when the switch isn't pressed down, the gear changes are in sports mode so they are faster and harder, When the switch is pressed they are in regular D drive mode so they are slower and smoother. I don't like the switch but it's there so we have to get used to it!

  • ALL BMW PADDLE SHIFT OWNERS PLEASE READ THIS!!!

Ok let me tell you something, Under the GAS pedal there is a SWITCH this switch when pressed it will eliminate the paddle shift function and it will change to the fastest gear as quick as possible, it's like a emergency passing switch. So when you are at the track or drag racing you DON'T need it cause it will not let you make the shifts when you want it to. So just don't slam the gas peddal all the way down till it clicks :)

  • Wow! That was all stock too! Lol BMW and the stept tranny ftw! Those were some quick shifts!

  • @sa8901 those where quick shifts because its an automatic. he is using the electronic shifting on the console. Hint: the paddle shifters are on the steering wheel.

  • @sa8901 False. the auto actually shifts faster, its incredible what the bmw version of the porsche pdk can do, its like a formula one car. i just test drove one saturday and its as fast as my vette, its........ impressive!
