Zero looked different back then. His shoulder pads and legs were changed when he was rebuilt in X2.

Basically...

Dr Wily created Zero with the same evil energy seen in MM8. He spied on Light's creation of X for his blueprints but could not re-create a reploid

Based on X5 Zero's misson was to destroy X.

Zero escaped and after nearly killing Sigma he lost the "virus" Wily made which got transferred to Sigma. Good became bad and bad became good.

X was found by Dr Cain and placed in the maverick hunters, as was Zero.

On topic... Zero did not have a saber until being repaird by dr Cain in X2.

1) Zero got his sabre mysteriously when he got a revamp in X2. It's assumed that Serges made it for him, but no one knows for sure.

2) Mega Man X is NOT Mega Man. This has been stated by the developers multiple times.

3) They appear as clones in the end of the original games, who's to say Wily can't rebuild them?

4) Allegedly. Zero was found activated before X1 in an abandoned laboratory with no clues. What happened to Wily is never stated

No... you fail. Megaman is not the same as X, everyone knows that. And this didn't happen in 21XX, it happened in 20XX. If you want to know more, there's a series of animated webcomic movies called the "Cataclysm Movies" that talk about this in detail. You should watch them; they tell about what happens after this, too. Roll and Dr. Light are killed by Zero, but Protoman and Auto don't die. They ambush him and seal him back in the capsule.

@killerkirbydude Zero did not kill anyone from the Classic saga. he was never completed originally. Keji Inafune confirmed it. But one thing is certain, Zero was activated before he was complete. Blame Sigma's stupid unit for disturbin the capsule. The X-Hunters completed Zero's new body, but X took the parts to Cain to rebuild him into the Zero we see now.

The only problem I have with this video is that Zero didn't sport the Z Saber or shoulderpads (or even the gold lining on his legs) until after Megaman X2 after he was rebuilt. I really think too many people don't remember this.

Story is solid, if it weren't for the fact that X was being built during MM9, (according to the current logical timeline, remember all dates are officially 20XX or 21XX.) I'd accept this as the ending. of the classic series. You should totally finish it!

pretty awesome. The only thing i would compain about because im picky like that is which Zero you chose. Original zero didnt have a beam saber or square shoulderpads. His design was much simpler. Look up Zero from Maverick Hunter X to see what I mean. He didnt upgrade to his current armor till MegaMan X2. Otherwise, this is a pretty well done animation. I like alot of the ideas you put into it. And the animation is pretty good too.

@razor2518 actually no. Sigma's saber in MegaMan X1 doesnt even look anything like Zero's. There is no official explanation as to where he gets it from in MegaMan X2. But yes, in MegaMan X8, you can unlock Sigma's massive sword as a secret weapon.

Therefore it is pretty certain that in time Protoman died to whatever was ailing him back then, probably before Zero went into a rampage.
