The contrast between this film and the BBC version is interesting... they are both so good and yet different that ranking them against each other is foolish, but the BBC version is way closer to the period... but in the 2005 version their is a rawness of small gentry life and warmth of the cast together that comes across in this documentary and in the movie. Kira Knightly will likely never be bettered in sensual spunk for catching 'Lizzy' at the right moment in an actress' career is paramount.

e cast aren't stuck up unlike some other actors and that's what i love about them.. they're very simple and nice people.. i wish everyone is like them.. very approachable.. it's like when you see them on the streets and you go like, "Hey, you're so and so right?" and they'd immediately smile and talk to you like you're an old friend or something.. these are real people.. real people with real character.. :))

Sweet!!! I swear that I've seen this movie like a thousand times and it never gets old... I like so much the 1995 version because is more accurate but I love this version because is just delightful and incredibly beautiful. The cast is awesome, the locations are perfect, the photography is precious... this movie is just fantastic. I love it!!! And Matthew is the best, no doubt about it. Both Matthew and Colin did amazing jobs as Mr. Darcy. They each had a different uniqueness to their portrayal. Matthew played him as a lot more shy, while Colin played him as more stuck up. I love both Mr. Darcys equally. ♥

This is one of the most overblown novels in English. Austen was a mindless scribbler who basically put down anything that came into her tiny cranial vault. If you like her, then cool. That is OK. But I firt on her.

it is the best movie i ever saw, i think, it's the best movie, you can feel the passion between them, like all the other people said.

One can completely feel the heart and care that everyone felt making this film. Its one of those rare features which, when it ends, you're almost sad there isn't more, simply because you've fallen so deeply in love with the story and the characters as written by Austen, and portrayed by the actors and production staff.
