It's an MR2 MK3 roadster aka MR2-spyder (MR-S) named that as it and it's predecessors have a Mid set engine- Rear wheel drive and 2 seats, for those who commented yet needed educating (thearmedlife!)!! 1.8 138bph standard spec. It would have been a better drag race if they put in the MK2 Turbo, the MR2 MK3 is designed for better handling tho and would thrash the supra on a track and would take the piss out of it!

Well, not that it's impossible, it's just difficult without a degree in welding and some creative tricks up your sleeve. I did some research on it, it IS possible, but you'd then have to add a bit of weight to the front of the vehicle to even things out, not to mention clean out as much extra metal from the chassis as possible before doing the transplant. You'd have to add all new motor mounts to match the 2JZ... But it would be so worth it.

anything is possible. Hell I haven't seen it run, but there is a dude with an AW11 with a V8 engine. So it is very possible.

Supposedly a guy who builds muscles in my town decided to do a import project for his son. So guess what he did? He put a 2jzgte in a 7th Gen Celica, and then hit up my supra owner friend at a gas station to ask about what the 2jz was capable of. Had no idea, and yet managed to accomplish that for his son.
