In my opinion the GoLite Shangri-la 5 is roomy for two people with larger packs, including the possibility to cook inside, and barely adequate for 4 persons with smaller packs.
After I seamsealed the seams from the outside, where there are the internal peak loops for attaching the Nest, the tent was completely waterproof.
@tritan1 yes the 5 means it will sleep 5 although the gear would not be in the tent and it would not be roomy with 5.
