Windows shits on the MAC OS. I had MACs for countless years and for a programmer, Windows has a lot more useful and compatible libraries for programming . What kind of fucking OS needs it's own SDK? Isn't that fucking stupid? And from my experience, a well built PC beats the shit out of MAC with open sources. Try terminating 100 trillion instructions with a MAC based system. All supercomputers are made from PC components. MACs don't have problems? The OS only masks the problems that are hidden.

I use the windows verson of Itunes on my tower and it works like wonders. I have no clue what that guys problems with it and how its buggy and slow. it runs and working quick, and its never crashed. I do alot of hard work on my computer my my quad in it is running at 100% on all four cores at times and itunes is still running more responcive
@AWESOMETechPro What you just said states that Macs are superior. Better customer service, better software and tech in general, and every program is made better. I agree with all of that. With all of that said, how is Os X not the better OS?

I would go as far to say that Microsoft had Apple beat a long time ago. However, times have changed SO much. Apple keeps innovating while Microsoft falls behind. Apple's stock recently was at a higher price than Microsoft's, and Apple has been everywhere the past few years. Microsoft hasn't innovated much. MS is "bigger" now, but that doesn't mean they deserve it.

But instead of a free upgrade, they charged 200 dollars for Vista, and 200 for Windows 7. Look at Snow Leopard and Leopard. Leopard was $130, and Snow Leopard was $30 dollars! Microsoft is greedy and doesn't care about customer experience like Apple does. All Microsoft does anymore is copy. No innovation at all.

i'm not a fan of apple hardware and software and find it inferior in almost every way besides convenience, HOWEVER i have NO problem with iTunes at all. I didn't like the album info, but you can just turn it off! iTunes is fine! Plus, I love the app store
However, it does not play videos well at all, at least on the windows version. I find, at least for mp4 files, that the video slowly but surely lags behind the audio more and more I have to use VLC media player instead which works beautifully.
I like using Linux Ubuntu, and all the software they have like Rhythmbox, Ararok , Radio Tray, Miro Internet TV, way way better than iTunes in Windows ...
Linux and iPod work great together plus Linux has free tools to convert Ipod m4a file to a .wav , or mp3... using " faad EXAMPLE.m4a " and "lame EXAMPLE.wav EXAMPLE.mp3"
Hell Linux Ubuntu even has "GnomeDo" that is the same thing as "quicksilver on Mac" so I would say he just needs to install a free copy of Linux ...

It's interesting you mention the infrastructure iTunes has created over the past decade and say how it'll be hard and can be BAD to change it completely.
Well... same is true for Windows, dude. More users use that OS than use iTunes so it's even more detrimental. Plus, compiling and writing an entire OS from the ground up is in an entire different league than writing a media manager program with a store in it.
Not saying it wouldn't hurt to redo iTunes completely but... re-doing an OS.....
itunes sucks for windows. it works well on mac. people buy windows more because they're cheaper. mac is much easier to use and they come stock more powerful than windows comps do. i personally like mac more and i grew up using windows. this guy is retarded and a shame to anyone that likes mac. regardless of hillibilly morons, macs offer a lot as do windows pcs. it comes down to preference between GUI and usage prowess. in all reality there's not much difference between the two at all.

Also, about you showing how 'fast iTunes is". bloat isn't how fast the program runs its how much memory and cpu it uses, it could be fine within the program, but use up 20% of you cpu.
Take for example FOOBAR2000, it runs at about 2% of the cpu usage but iTunes runs at about 20%. THATS BLOATWARE.
You say that the problem with the Windows version of iTunes is Windows itself. I have Spotify on my Windows Vista x64 based computer and Spotify has never crashed and I am being honest, it has never crashed!! Infact Vista itself has gotten allot more stable with its updates.
If your going to review the Windows version of Itunes THEN FUCKING USE THE WINDOWS VERSION.

Yeah buddy, no! I'm not going to buy a whole new computer because Apple refuses to properly write a program to work for windows. It's funny how WPM or VLC will run BEAUTIFULLY on Windows, but iTunes can't. Shitty programing: -1 for apple. @Trusselz seems like apple didn't do a good job on constructing it heres what i did # 1 Set your iPod's "Hold" button so it's not on hold. Slide it over to "Hold" and then back to its original position. # 2 Press the "Menu" button and the round center "Select" button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Repeat this step if the touch wheel is still frozen. # 3 Attempt holding the "Menu" and "Select" buttons again if the touch wheel is still frozen. idk if itll work for you though....

when itunes is compared with other windows music players it is slow and sluggish on windows. But its much much faster on mac and i do like the UI. so i think you should try itunes and other media players on windows and compare their performance only not the ui.

Deny or not, Itunes isn't great on Windows. It hang, it lags, it jitters, and crashes even on my decent PC. And its sad seeing how most iPod owners own Windows. You don't think Itunes has a problems then boot into windows and try WMP12, Zune, the many other STABLE programs, then you'll understand our irritation.

Concerning iTunes, you don't get it.
Having an advanced media player is not just about "buying stuff from its interface" and "watching fancy covers"
iTunes is NOT an advanced media player since :
- It doesn't support many filetypes
- It doesn't have "real" watch folders
- You can't browse your artists via statistics (like Helium)
- it doesn't have serious tagging features (no tag from filename, no batch rename track numbers etc.)
- doesn't provide tag from Discogs/Amazon features

"bloated, poorly written" yeah, that's pretty much what it is. have YOU looked? obviously not. it's pretty bad. and it's not bloated, but it is a major memory hog and has a lot of bugs. If you don't think it's slow, you've never used a decent media player.

It's interesting you mention the infrastructure iTunes has created over the past decade and say how it'll be hard and can be BAD to change it completely.
Well... same is true for Windows, dude. More users use that OS than use iTunes so it's even more detrimental. Plus, compiling and writing an entire OS from the ground up is in an entire different league than writing a media manager program with a store in it.
Not saying it wouldn't hurt to redo iTunes completely but... re-doing an OS.....

itunes sucks for windows. it works well on mac. people buy windows more because they're cheaper. mac is much easier to use and they come stock more powerful than windows comps do. i personally like mac more and i grew up using windows. this guy is retarded and a shame to anyone that likes mac. regardless of hillibilly morons, macs offer a lot as do windows pcs. it comes down to preference between GUI and usage prowess. in all reality there's not much difference between the two at all.

Take for example FOOBAR2000, it runs at about 2% of the cpu usage but iTunes runs at about 20%. THATS BLOATWARE.

You say that the problem with the Windows version of iTunes is Windows itself. I have Spotify on my Windows Vista x64 based computer and Spotify has never crashed and I am being honest, it has never crashed!! Infact Vista itself has gotten allot more stable with its updates.
If your going to review the Windows version of Itunes THEN FUCKING USE THE WINDOWS VERSION.
I'm an audio engineer who uses Vista with Cubase 5.5 so I know what I'm talking about when it comes to audio software

Programs like DoubleTwist, Winamp, and Copy Trans run flawlessly on Windows. (btw these are alternatives to iTunes and it does things MUCH better)

Deny or not, Itunes isn't great on Windows. It hang, it lags, it jitters, and crashes even on my decent PC. And its sad seeing how most iPod owners own Windows. And I love your response, "It's windows fault". GTFO! Apple cried about Adobe making unstable products for the Mac platform yet they do this. You don't think Itunes has a problems then boot into windows and try WMP12, Zune, the many other STABLE programs, then you'll understand our irritation.

Apple soldier, You don't seem to understand this. itunes for Mac runs fine, as you have seen and so have I. Now on the other hand itunes on windows is like he said, bloated, slow and probably poorly coded. It installs many unnecessary services that slow the system down even if it isn't running, That is bloatware by definition.
Don't blame windows, all other cross platform programs run roughly the same on both platforms when properly coded.
