@coffeek1980 The amp is fine! (I have one! I know!) This was, perhaps, due to too much volume on the guitar compared to the amp. A good blend always makes a smoother sound! Nice playing, by the way!
Damnnn you seriously kill it . Fuck what everyone else says . I'm 17 and I'm also a huge fan of bonamassa . just fuck what they say . Do ur own thing dude. but damnn dude u can make that shit tasty . Keep playin lol whew.
hey man... I was thinking bout your video today, and the advice I can give you is find your own style/sound... I "impersonated" SRV from the time I was a kid til about a year ago. You have to find your own way, it will only get you more respect and expand your own sound... you are a great player, Just work on YOU... Not J.B...Please dont think of me as a dick, I'm just trying to save you year(s) of backpedalling.
great playing! but - don't try to actually BE joe bonamassa. just my personal opinion when I'm looking at you wearing joes shirt, shades and haircut...
yooo man love the guitar i bet you were drooling when u plugged it in lol. I am a strat guy but i have a huge passion for LPs so im hoping to get one in a few years lol. Is the spider your only amp? I used to have one but hated it
The line6 is just a cheap practice amp, I never use this for gigs or rehearsals. I actually play through a Marshall JTM45 reissue or a Fender TWIN reverb. I also tried a Mesa Boogie express combo (great modern amp!) but I still prefer the classic vintage tone. Thanks for watching!
Nice playing but that tone is ugly and fizzy, I see TS9 in the front, dont mix to well with line 6 stuff, Anyway just an observation but it makes everything supercompressed.
You would probably get the same tone from a squier strat with that set up.
i think its more important to spend money on clothes rather than the most expensive guitar you can afford.
You can't live your whole life in a bath robe.....I'm pretty sure a lot of guys wouldn'y like to be looking up at you on stage.....would be a horrible sight dont you think!!!!
lol now youre just going over the top. i am in my own house, there is no audience watching me except my cat and im pretty sure i have a whole wardrobe full of clothes.
why are we even arguing about this? this is youtube. i am not auditioning for a guitar competitioning or for the manager of a company. let me wear my dressing gown if i want to.
For you amp snobs out there, look at it this way - if you can take a decent guitar and an inexpensive amp like a Line 6 and make it sound good, then you have real talent and you need to find a band. If you can't, save the money you were going to spend on a Bogner amp. You need more practice before you lay down the mega bux. Make sense?
I see where you are coming from. But if one keeps the Line Six volume low, and mikes it with a powerful PA system, then you can go with it, but to use it by itsself at high volume, believe me, you lose even the sound of the effects that it comes with, and you will get in trouble with the audience who came to hear you play. Check out: THE THRILL IS GONE, by Joe Bonamassa on youtube. No one can play and sing it like Joe Bonamassa.
Why is there so many comments about the amp, there is such a thing as a practice amp, we dont want to crank up a valve amps to get a good sound and piss off our neighbours!!
No one can be Bonamassa, except JB himself!. I play my own stuff and I quickly recorded this improvised solo to show this beautiful guitar to you. Thanks for watching.
I use to have a Line 6 amp, and as long as I kept the volume down, it sounded good, but when you turn up the volume, even the sound effects lose their effect, and the sound gets poor. If you ever play with your amp outdoors, just keep the volume low, and mike it with and 6 to 800 watt PA System, and you will sound good. But you will see, the Line Six only sounds good on low volume. I was disappointed after finding that out and spending the money.
@guitarmaniac217 Got a similar one, they suck ass, the only good thing with mine is that it has some sort of tape effect which with reverb makes it sound decent, but an Marshall Jubilee, JMP (70-79) or any Plexi from 67-69 Super lead would kill it instantly, get one of those, Marshall sounded best from 67-80´, they have the classic Marshall sounds, or an Jubilee, played one and they are both practical and good sounding + reliable :)
haha, he looks like he is trying to be joe bonamassa (appearance wise) Great playing though, it's good to hear people get out of the pentatonics every once in a while
line 6 isn't even good for hard/metal music. Even metal guys don't want something inarticulate and sterile. If I had to pick a favorite amp company I'd be tossing up between Bogner and Mesa.
Yea thats true. But well, it depends on what kind of metal you play, bands like Meshuggah uses line 6 and it's the right sound for them. But I agree with you!
Damb those pick-ups are sick. Thanks for posting that up,(I like the blue light by the way, it changes things up.) But please post something straight to a tube amp. I want to see what thats like.
fantastic guitar and your playing was awesome...very tasty.....unfortunatley that freaking light in the backgound about dang near gave me a seizure!!! LOL i had to just listen and not watch!
Yes, burstbuckers 2 and 3 with a TS9 and a transistor amp for the video. With my band, I plug the guitar in a twin reberb (clean channel) and use 4 pedals (TS9, T-REX Mudhoney, BOSS DD3 and Wah CRYBABY). With that setting, I almost reach Joe Bonamassa's sound! Incredible guitar....
I notice you are using a tube screamer. How is this pedal with your solid state amp? Does is it make the sound warmer, closer to the one of a tube amp?
For this video, I plugged the Bonamassa in the aux channel and used a TS9 to get a warmer sound... But I usually play this Lespaul with tube amps (mesa boogie express or twin reverb), the sound is far better ;-)
Dude, really? What's with the light?
