The only things i did to plant my seeds was fill a pot full of compost (nothing special) put my tomato seeds in, covered it and watered. I never added any nutrient stuff or anything like that, I just stuck to the basics and within five days seedlings appeared. ALL six seeds managed to germinate. And let me tell you i was really surprised because i live up in scotland! So readers, you don't need any enhancing chemicals, soil and water does the treat.

@dacci123 according to my johnny's tomato seed packets I got, start seeds at 75-90 degrees Fahrenheit and then growing seedlings at around 70 degrees Fahrenheit watering the seedlings only enough to keep the soil from drying

It's too hot t o grow tomatos in my part of australia. I grow mine in winter, I plant my seeds in April, and harvest in July, Aug.
