I lived the cold war period. I think that until 1980, Soviet Union was better than USA (and Nato too) 'cause has the highest number of weapons and soldiers. From 1980, USA has invested billions of dollars in military technologies and I think that in case of conventional WW3, Nato (and Usa of course) win the war. However, if Russia or China did invade the UK I don't think the Britons would rule the waves or their own island for much longer because of all their damn socialism and because of cutbacks on their military.

This is something most people do not realize how increasingly a problem water has become. Most people realize this because they have access to it. @Xeldominicano2k world war 1 wasnt started by hitler. everyone thinks the germans started it, thats because the French forced the germans to say they did in the treaty. ultimatly the war could have been avoided but Russia was the "protector of the slavic people" so they had to step in when Austria started fighting with the serbs. then germany joined against russia and serbia. then everyone joined their sides.

yea exactly. WW1 was a dumb war that also could have been easily avoided. The only reason it wasnt a small conflict after the death of Franz Ferdinand was because of all these stupid pacts the countries made. This is what led up to the League of Nations and eventually the modern United Nations.

I agree with those facts, but you're forgetting that modern warfare is based more than just soldiers. U.S. has some of the most advance tech in the world.
UF-22 stealth fighter jet, and UF-35 joint fighter jet...
M2-A Abrams tank most advance well balance tank in the world.
B-2 bomber.
As well as the m-16 A3 rifle and the "Dragon Skin" soldier protection vest. the Bradley light tank... and many more units that the U.S. has that Russia doesnt.

@DarkAngelYue Dragon Skin still has yet to come to our unit. AND also the simple fact that something is "stealth" like the F22 and F35 doesn't mean it's invincible. It still has a radar signature that can be locked onto. The key is "hoping" the system or person on the trigger doesn't realize it's an F22. Russia would probably win a war against US if fought right now.

I lived the cold war period. I think that until 1980, Soviet Union was better than USA (and Nato too) 'cause has the highest number of weapons and soldiers. From 1980, USA has invested billions of dollars in military technologies and I think that in case of conventional WW3, Nato (and Usa of course) win the war. Certainly, no one Blocks have never used nuclear weapons 'cause "M.a.d. condition". But I want to tell that I miss that enemy!!!
