@noodzintheblue thanks man, its not a grill, actually its one of my moms old pots, its realy thick and i made a hole in the bottom, and welded a pipe and grill with holes in it at the bottom :)
@nikrguy yes that could work but then all the weight of the wood would be on the lid and if you were to lift it it might fall out and i would also worry about the fir getting inside the box

I think that if you flip your steel box over, the wood gas would burn under the box and help heat the box, right?

Good video, btw the gases coming out of the container are wood gases, because it burns, steam doesn't burn.
