this stuff is notorious for clogging cooling systems. I put a half a bottle in a V8 it did its job and sealed the head gasket enough to drive it 40 miles home. When I drained the coolant later big globs of what looked like fiber glass pulp came out. so be advised that's what your putting in your cooling system.
lmfao gas station mechanics are the worse im sorry i bet they charged the owner of the car for a head geasket repair and just did this to make a good dollar where i work and from being a real mechanic i can tell u that any coolant additive will not fix a problem all u can do is have the head gasket replaced and save your self alot of money from pooring a additive that gums up your cooling system causeing really big problems in i would say a couple weeks if not done the right way
@sasserdave its really cool to use periods and commas when writing sentences to people can understand what you're saying i like cheese that dude was talking like a hick do you like movies yeah you could save a lot of money that way that guy reminded me of my uncle otis do you like dogs antifreeze smells sweet i hear animals like to drink it thats the biggest black ass ive ever seen and i like it i like it a lot

@uniproductsdemos I bought some blue devil but i haven't tryed it yet the fluid is purple and theres some white stuff settling on the bottom is that normal or sould i take it back
the pouring water thing idk? what you do is, have your car running at an idle. slowly poor the sealent into your radiator and top off with water. let it run for about an hour or until there is a reduced amout of steam and water. let your car sit over night to cool and seal. then start it the next morning, and she should run like a dream.
umm if that was my caddi i would have it fixed right not with some stop leak crap i have seen that kinda stuff stop a head gasket up so what replace a head gasket and save a engine or quick fix it then 2 mayby 3years later blown engine witha craked block id replace parts when needed saves alot of headaches
I was trying to top my radiator off with water but there were a lot of soapy looking bubbles. do you still keep pouring water with the soapy bubbles. Also, do you ever go back later and add real coolant to the system afterwards because won't the water evaporate eventually. Just asking because I have no idea. I have two bottles of coolant on deck and need to know should I use some.
I have a question, along with a head gasket starting to go bad and with coolant in the engine oil,.. when should I change the engine oil and filter, or should I flush the engine first and then change the oil and filter.
i would try it for a temporary fix but i wound fix it correctly as soon as possible and i think that it is very unwise to rely on these types of quick fixes for permament solutions
If you all belive in this product then I have some Snake Oil to sell you! when you have a Head Gasket problem their is only one correct way to fix it, REPLACE the GASKET and save your self from making someone rich selling this useless product.
@kenalmont1 the funny thing is, when your head gasket gets blown and you want to replace it, you have to take apart the entire engine which can cost THOUSANDS of dollars. A bottle of BlueDevil might be able to seal minor fixes... dumbass.
Wow this solve the white smoke problem but does it solve the overheating problem?
I have heard stories about legend owners replace everything (sensors, radiator, timing belt, water pump, headgaskets, hoses, thermostat, etc...) to later learn they still have an overheating problem.
Blue Devil does work on a Northstar, its only a little more complicated. What you have to do is bypass the heater core, and then pressurize the system (as best you can) to about 15 psi. The Northsar is a low pressure system, which is why it isn't recommended for that engine. But if you pump up the pressure, it does work.
no not remove the thermostat in some engines such as the 7.3 powerstroke the directionality of the coolant is controlled via the thermostat removal can cause no coolant flow and cause a hot spot in the back of the block. The least of your issues will be a head gasket.
I tried this on a 90 acura integra a couple days ago and it works!!do as instructions say but dont test drive it drive it!! for about an half hour to get it circulating in the system park it and let it cool, and go do it again and park it cool down drain fluids but save install thermo and pour fluids back in mixed with antifreeze and top off and its all good,no problems so far,and no smoke.
Dont use this stuff! I had a head gasket leak on my 1989 Chevy Suburban. Flushed my coolant system with super flush, added the blue devil as per the directions. The blue devil sealant didnt work, There was still 150 pounds of exhaust pressure in my coolant system from the head gasket leaking into it, and it was still overheating. I ended up taking the suburban into a mechanic and just spent $1,400. Blue devil wont give me my money back! Now my cat-convertor is clogged with the blue devil sealant
I need your help please! I have the same problem and im going to buy a blue devil seal, but i have a question do you have to use 1 quart? or just the half?, im asking this because i saw on the autozone two different presentation of blue devil one quart and a half called poor and go, wich one should i use? thanks i hope and you answer me soon!
A temporary and final fix before a car goes to the scrapyard. Not worth getting angry about folks. Like I just stated, a last resort before it goes to the scrap yard if the owner doesn't want to keep the car.
Step 3. on the bottle states: "Fill cooling system with WATER. Leave enough room for the recommended amount of Blue Devil." And in step 5. states: "You do not need to flush the system a second time after process is complete (Blue devil can stay in the system)." So don't add antifreeze? That doesn't sound right.... What did you do?
The new bottles that just came out say different directions which state that you DO USE antifreeze mixxed in with the sealant. They screwed up on the old bottle's directions. I used the stuff and it sucks! It didnt seal my head gasket leak, and i ended up having to pay the $1400 to a mechanic to get the job done right. Now USA SEALANTS wont give me there money back guarantee, and the mechanic told me that the sealant has clogged my CAT-Convertors and my coolant system!!!!!!
@time4000 I believe it.... I ended up returning the product to the store i purchased it from. Turns out I didn't have a head gasket problem anyway. After MUCH research I found that ALL the videos relating to this product are sketchy because they're all on USA Sealants (Blue Devil) web site. AND, 99% of the reviews here on Youtube; look like fake accounts with only one video uploaded (And that's the Blue Devil Video). And as the old saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true, it is.
I bought a 1996 Saturn SL for $1,500, and 3 weeks later it most likely had a crack in the cam journal. Saturn actually knew of the problem but never recalled it. It was hardly worth spending the ~$1000 to get it fixed. I decided to give Blue Devil a shot and have well over 1000 miles and it is still running strong. I beat this thing hard, two tracks, mud, jumps (after the cracked head) and it still fires up every time. All of my friends are amazed the thing still runs, this stuff works.
I bought a 1993 Isuzu(148,000 miles) with a blown head gasket. Sealed it and it went out again. But it was 6 years later and at 272,000 miles. I'll bet those smart remarks below come from guys that have maxed out credit cards, huge car payments and have filed for bankruptcy a few times.. Ingenuity is what built this country, spending is what is killing it. Try this product...
sealed the gasket, also sealed the heater core and clogged up the radiator =). id like to see a video of the engine/gasket after its been driven so many miles. Its like sticking gum on the gasket, sure it works but its only a temp fix.
With a blown head gasket you don,t look for water coming out of the exhaust you look for bubbles in the radiator and the engine shaking from not firing on at least 1 cylinder.
Thank you for this wonderful demonstration. It is sincere and extremely helpful. In our economy, it is a burden to pay $1600 for a head gasket job (which is what I heard it would cost), especially with a vehicle that is hardly worth anything over $1600. Also, I found badbarada comment offensive. It is obvious this person is poorly educated due to the poor spelling, grammar and lack of proper vocabulary. Has this person even used the product? I doubt this person could even read 5 directions.
I would never pay money for this kind of crap. I'm sure they will charge owner of the car in FULL for this fix. Believe me this "BLUE DEVIL" thing is just for this lazy mothef...ers who want your money and once you signed your bill and out of shop you are fucked couse this crap won't stay for to long. It's not saving money it's WASTING money.
@piper7273 it worked just fine for my caddy!! AND i wasted most of it when i took the thermostat out. it was leaking out the gap, i had to put my thermostat back it. so the blue was all on the ground it it STILL worked!
