This film has so many life truths in it,,,heart wrenching and sobering it's right up there with the likes of Shawshank Redemption. Dasvidaniya reminds us that the greatest gift anyone one of us can ever hope for in this life time is one that we all already possess, the gift of life itself. A storyline with substance sooooo much better than the majority of Bollywood films these days which seem to be targeted at 15 year old MTV addicts...

Also teaches you to live life with a little courage if not a lot of it, stand up against things and people who don't seem reasonable. Teaches a valuable lesson on respecting yourself before anyone else. Its refreshing to see a guy like Amar being portrayed in bollywood. A very good movie, this.

I think this is the strongest part of the movie other than the scene where he confesses love to Neha. I can't believe the ending piano/guitar theme was not released as a Theme song on the CD. This is a magical movie. Just magical..
