Snooooooorrrrr souls struggeling with the weight of their sins, what Tannhauser was , souls trying to find the light . Dreams of past violence. Sex drugs rock and roll . How about a nice old fashioned production of Tannhauser ?.
TEchnically, this is not from that part of the cartoon.... this is from the love scene between Elmer's Siegfried and Bugs' Brunnhilde..... but I was interested first in Wagner from that cartoon!!
@gomongio I watched a documental many years ago where this fact was highlighted. They mentioned some TV studios played this kind of music in many cartoons because for many people it was the only way to listen them (they had no the cash to pay an opera ticket). I also grew watching those TV shows and that was the way I met all this composers.
It's like pushing a fucking button!!! I cry every time at about 2.20. Jesus it's a fantastic peace of music (I'm 18 and mostly listen to pop music:P) Thanks for uploading! Take care
I was lucky enough to see this opera in Budapest last month, for the first time, having seen 4 other Wagner operas in past 20 years. It was tremendous; get there if you can - tickets are very cheap.
Jajaja Nietzche le dio a no me gusta! porque wagner era 1 maldito antisemita!!!!

Wagner had to add a ballet for a Paris performance in 1861. The only place he could insert it was preceding Act I: Tannhauser in the Venusberg.

a quien tengo que matar para traer esta obra a la Argentina?...

Isn't the Overture played before the curtain rises? This performance undercuts the music for me. It's just distracting.

I hope I never pay good money to see such idiotic pantomime and idiotic customes design in a Wagner opera
