  • our brain got huge

  • you have by far the greatest insults i have ever hurd. keep them up

  • Wonderful. Thanks a million for making this

  • I'm offensive, and I found this religious.

  • Super great video. I wish a news agency would do a report with you as an expert. There is so mush disinformation out there, thank you for clearing the air.

  • @sqmuth And calling arheists devil worshippers without morals isn't?

  • your moms an ape!

  • Was with you until you started with the monotoned, kindergarten insults. Arguments based on facts are always better than arguments based on demonizing those who disagree with you. thanks bye.

  • although we do suggest that our homo varieties enter mingled...which i can role with very well....like different species of dogs......

  • I think that calling creationists "stool samples", "skid marks" and "religiotards" is offensive and gratuitously disrespectful. Keep it up.

  • @sqmuth HAHAHA! I nearly didn't finish reading your comment to the comical ending. Good work!

  • love the stool sample enoligy awesome! arguement lol

  • A few commenters seem to be getting confused between "theories about evolution" and "the theory of evolution". The clue is the word "the". Ideas about evolution have been around since the greek philosophers, and (incorrect) theories of evolution were proposed before Darwin, but Darwin made the first TOE that *works*. When we refer to "*The* theory of evolution" we mean Darwin's- or rather, the modern synthesis which includes the 150 years of advances made since Darwin's time.

  • 9:00 There's a reason it's not called CORRECT Answers in Genesis.

  • Well, that was phenomenal. I rarely manage to sit through a 13 minute video without getting bored and moving on, but this did it for me. Thanks for the ammunition, man! Keep up the good work!

  • Religitard? I like that word. I wish my debate class were still on freedom of religion.

  • fuck all religions! we had enough of their lies and bloody wars!

  • @hka11726 I've had enough of secular wars like.. hmm.. World War I and World War II

  • @Ceres108 what does that have to do with the religions or the evolution?

  • @hka11726 It's a response to your comment implying that religion causes bloody wars while seemingly ignoring the most wars which have been caused by secular regimes.

  • @Ceres108 evolution didn't cause these wars that is what i meant!

  • This explanation kicks ass!! Are you a biologist?

  • "facially flatulating religitard" you sir made my day.

  • You sound like Neil Peart.

  • "religitard" OMG ROTFL!

  • If you want to be taken seriously I think you should call them by their scientific name, not "hobbits". Just a thought. ;D

  • @dinoflagz Scientists call them hobbits.

  • Hobbits are fictional creatures. Are you putting me on?

  • @dinoflagz The hobbits you are thinking of are fictional (Love Tolkien. That's an order.) However, fossilized remains of a diminutive, human-like culture was discovered recently and dubbed "hobbits", mostly by the popular media who exist, as is stated in the video, on controversy and sensationalism.

  • I enjoy watching people flame each other in a "belief war" that will never end. Everyone has a different view on the world around them, there is no point in arguing over and over, because no one is right or wrong, everything is a matter of view.

  • @Jhartsock123

You couldn't possibly be more wrong. ToE is an objective theory; and it therefore either is objectively true (or accurate at least), or simply false. Determining which is the case is a worthy cause considering the significance it has for modern medicine and biology in general. Granted, those of us capable of opening textbooks already understand that it's accurate, but it doesn't mean it's not worth questioning things either. Reality is never subjective as you imply.

  • this makes sense to me but I base my beliefs on observation and facts so there you go....

  • This is a really good video! Can somebody recommend me any good reading on the evolution og posture and locomotion?

  • @steenharsted origins . org is pretty good

  • AronRa, you sir are a beast. Your points are crystal clear and easily understood. Thanks for a great upload once again. I will be at the Reason Rally and hope I may get to see you. But a glimpse will do... Thanks again.

  • Wait, wait, wait...hobbits were real? Mind=blown

  • 10:55 [picture of supposedly "fat" gorilla]

Gorillas are hind-gut fermenters. That huge gut isn't filled with fat. It's filled with foliage.

  • Heidelbergensis

  • its bob

  • Thank you for this amazing video. I am using some of the information you gave in my science project about the evolution of ape to human.

  • If you ever get a chance to visit the "stool sample" lecturer, you should mention they should not be bearing "false witness" as his "goof book" tells him not to. I prefer to call them 'brownies'.

  • Bob Dobbs at 06:15 !

  • I wonder when we started covering our body out of the shame and not the cold o-o' why do we even not want to show out genitals around in public? I mean I wouldn't do that normally, just wondering why not

  • @ohrenstab "I wonder when we started covering our body out of the shame and not the cold "

Part of the reason we cover ourselves is to avoid getting our junk injured when we run.

  • @johnrainrules sounds legit

  • This was truly fascinating! I've been interested in anthropology for quite some time now, though I am not a fan of "school biology" and this seems okay an important part of studying humans (less if it's sociocultural anthropology, which is what I find most interesting for that matter). Just wanted to say that and thank you for a great movie!

  • Beautiful walk through.

  • Holy Shit! Hobbits were real!

  • 05:43 OMG that is 50 cent

  • Since evutionanay theory nothing is right or wrong we can just do what ever we want. if it feel good do it. You can't force yor morality onto me. There's a cute little black chick living down the street so i think I'll take her and make her my sex slave. She's only six year old so I'd better be carefull and not get caught becausre The legal system that was originally based on the Bible might force it's bigoted morality on me, and that just wouldn'tb be right.

  • @mrtadreamer

    False,

Evolutionary theory states that life evolves over generations. Nothing else.

    Grow up.

  • @ytmoog Lets keep on evolving, so Magerate Sanger's eugenics dream of may be realized, it's so obvious how we decended from African creatures, all those course features and beetled brows on those still so primitive blacks. They don't deserve to survive. Darwin was so wise in what he said about the races. Let's not forget Hitlers evolution based master race. Too bad his noble vision almost died with him. The presedent of Iran must have the right idea in lilling off all those inferior Jews.

  • @mrtadreamer Not sure if failing at sarcasm or really, really stupid. Do you think evolution is true or false, and based on that; what do you actually think of Darwing or Hitler?

  • @D3m190d Both Darwin and Hitler believed in evolution, and acted on what they believed. Judge the results.

  • @mrtadreamer Seriously? That's what you're on about? Alright, let's get some things straight:

    1) Darwin made observations of nature and proposed the theory of evolution.

    2) Hitler was trying to build a perfect race; It doesn't make evolution false or immoral.

    3) Hitler* was a Christian: does that make all Christians evil?

    *Example quote:

'As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice.'

  • @D3m190d "1) Darwin made observations of nature and proposed the theory of evolution."

The theory of evolution existed long before Darwin's time.

  • @hitssquad Even better.

  • @hitssquad Wrong idiot, a theory is a human imaginary construct that tries to describe reality in an abstract way. So of course even though evolution itself existed for a very long time the theory pertaining to it was created by Darwin.

  • @hitssquad Really? Says who? That's the very first time i've heard of it, and I know quite a lot about evolution

  • @TheLordSod "Says who?"

..Darwin, for one. Darwin never claimed he had the first theory of evolution. That would have been absurd, given that evolution had been widely discussed for decades in scientific circles before he published his own version of the theory. The question, widely discussed, by Darwin's time wasn't *whether* there was biological evolution, but *how* it occurred.

  • @hitssquad Right with you. Ideas about evolution were around LONG before Darwin. Certain esoteric societies (mystery schools) have held this view since antiquity. Darwin's version is far more materialistic, and seems to provide no catalyst beyond random occurrence juxtaposed with environmental condition, where the older view sees evolution as a willed and driven process, providing the avenue for the emergence of consciousness within matter.

  • @mrtadreamer Hitler believed in SOCIAL DARWINISM and had a false view of how evolution works. if he understood evolution he would have known that selecting people yourself limits the existing gene pool and leads to higher chance of extinction in the future when threatened with quick environmental change.

do you understand what im saying here? Hitler also used Newtons discovery on gravity to make bombs and airplanes...but do we blame newton?

  • @EpicurusIVXX "selecting people yourself limits the existing gene pool"

...Not if one also employs periodic scientific hybridization and/or random inputs. In order to improve a creation through pruning one must also have a diverse selection of things from which to prune.

  • We're not a subset of anything. We are human beings made in the image of God.

  • Whenever I see Neanderthals I think: DWARVES WERE REAL!!!! ;-)

  • You're either human or sub-human

  • my own damn curiosity of my ancestors sent me here

  • Actually we breed with Neanderthal, they've proven it now with genetics. If you are white, you have Neanderthal in you.

  • @RunandGunPictures where did you hear this??? we couldnt have done so

  • @ANIOLATORV I've read it on several websites to list a few National Geographic, Time megazine's SCIENCE section, ABC news and on Science Daily. The previous genetic tests were cruder, we now have a more acurate genetic breakdown of Neanderthals and we are not only compatible, we're them. Just google Neanderthals are white people and you'll find quite a few articals.

  • @RunandGunPictures we are not neanderthals some of us have neanderthal in us because like you said we were compatible, the same way breeds of dogs are compatible, but they were a cousin not an ancestor.. from Europe to Australia 20% of native people have traces of neanderthal.. maybe you can find a 100% neanderthal around today but its highly unlikely, read it in the New Scientist.

  • @FubarLikeYou Didn't say we WERE Neanderthals, I'm saying we have Neanderthals genetics. It's common to have the genes and some traits (like the 2nd toe in being longer than your "big toe") if you're from European decent. White people especially have these traits. Out of the ones I found listed I had nearly all of them, which thought was pretty funny. It's just sad this guy made such a great video, but based on OLD and OUTDATED sources.

  • @RunandGunPictures I've seen that foot thing. Tis true.

  • @RunandGunPictures thats where i would draw the line. theyre our cousins for we share a common ancestor and it may have been possibe to inter-breed but it would have caused many implications. We are generally a seperate species

  • @ANIOLATORV We have their genes in us. It's traceable and has been proven. Mainly in those from European decent (white people).

  • @RunandGunPictures Actually I'm very confused, as Australian Aboriginals also have traces of neanderthal and they are all black? :/

  • @RunandGunPictures Excellent >:)

  • @RunandGunPictures if you have to have neanderthal to be white how would michael jackson be explained? i think there may be some kinks in tat claim

  • @FubarLikeYou although i havn't heard the claim before so ill look it up..

  • @FubarLikeYou Michael Jackson was a black man that went too far with surgery that is all. I know a couple black men with the disease that turns them White. Michael Jackson did not have it, he wasn't turning white he was some pasty grey color which was the result of all his surgeries and the drugs he was taking (not sure if he was taking any illegal drugs but I will not go there).

  • .... or God made the world 6 to 10 thousand years ago and put all those fossiles there to confuse us and test our faith.

  • Excellent!! But let's remember that brain size is not a determinate factor in intelligence. It is the structure of the brain that dictates intelligence. Birds have tiny brains but have tested to be quite intelligent and have surprisingly extensive, but limited by comparison to humans and apes, memories and can solve simple problems like how to get the meat out of shellfish by dropping them on rocks to crack the shells.

  • Wait..... hobbits are REAL????

  • well I ain't read non of this in my bible so it must not be true.

  • we descended from turtles!

  • i like the way the narrator say the insults XD

" facilely flagellant fecal matter religious tard"

  • Where did you get that badass shirt?

  • very informative and interesting video! thanks! =)

  • "Thats because it did look like that you religion tard" lol

  • @stonedhippopotamus "Flatulating religitard" was the phrase I believe. And I think that sums them up pretty well too.

  • Loved the terminology for the Creationists. Very good video, cheers

  • this is an awwwsome piece to fall asleep to. i find comfort that perhaps the human race isn't running with scissors headlong over a cliff of religiousness to abyss hence i can stop toiling over the backwater doxastic thoughts of the retrograde to find my elusive zzzzz. thank you

  • i wish he added subtitles...

  • "Facially-Flatulating Religitard" lmao

  • Wow Very Impressive Video. I quite enjoyed this. :]

  • I think part of the reason Creationists fail to understand this concept is because of all the big words.

That sounds comical and cliche, I know, but I can understand it being true. It's a lot to keep up with. Add that to the fact that it contradicts whatever holy book they happen to believe in and there's no chance of convincing them that it's true.

  • @SeedsOfHatred No, you're right. I had to stop the video to look up some words and think a bit. Imagine a devote religious person. They'd probably just move on to the next video.

  • "Facially flatulating religotard." Awesome.

  • What the fuck is wrong with creationists... Every individual of flora & fauna that live, or have ever lived, are evidence of it. Honestly, they (try to) keep the whole world stupid and prevent our collective development... Evolution is far more fascinating and awesome explanation than "a wizard did everything"... The truth shall set you free!

  • great vid but i always find something at 12:46 does the female have what looks like a sucker in her hand?

  • The AmazingFuckingAtheist sent me here.

  • @thomasxawesome same

  • @thomasxawesome i really don't this guy cares

  • really good job, thanks for the upload, cleared loads of questions up i had about the subject!

  • Great video. Thank you for posting keep em coming.

  • Looks like we have 35 creationists in the audience

  • TheAmazingAtheist is soo late: this video's been out forever!

  • @TheAgnostiic So is "Say no to panda" to you, that you have recently favourited. To me its old as fuck, for the other guy beyond the internet it is unknown, because he hasnt yet seen the whole thing bcause he hasnt yet stumbled upon it. etc etc. My point is, nobody can know about the certain thing or news on internet instantly after it is uploaded there. People have to find them first.

  • @member186 Woah-- Calm down, I was just trolling lol. I'm bored! So I'm just going around typing up provocative comment with no emotion behind them what so ever to get a funny reply. I didn't expect anyone to reply to this one however: this comment in particular is less of a brow raiser than the others. :)

  • @TheAgnostiic Well i wasnt intending to be agressive lol sorry :d

  • exactly what i was thinking smashing video sir

  • Very interesting video. thank you for the upload. I mean how can you not feel even a bit wonder on the epic journey our species has made and continues to make.

  • Amazing. Thank you.

  • Even my dog can hold his breath under water..

Why would a monkey not be able to hold it's breath? What moron thinks you need to be human to control breathing..

  • Jeebus Christ! You read like you are chased by Velociraptor! Find inner piece and enhance your calm my distant cousin lol!

  • Amazing Atheist sent me and now I am more informed :)

  • 34 people are religious

  • Homo erectus... lol

  • Well, actually, I thought the research showed that all non-purely African people have 2 to 4 percent Neanderthal DNA. Sounds like a decent amount to me....

Anyway, other than that, I really liked the video! Very interesting stuff.

  • I've watched this video several times just to watch the timelapse of skull evolution. So damn cool... it's like we have inflating-balloon brains. It is just so fascinating.

Not to mention how fantastic all of the other facts are! Great video. Makes me proud to be Homo Sapiens. :)

  • fail we now know all non afrikan have 1to 4$ neandehfals

  • I love anthropology.

  • @AronRa Thank you for this intellectual video! It's a relief to hear some actual common sense for a change instead of just, "there is a missing link, therefore evolution is wrong, therefore GOD DID IT."

  • facially flatulating religitard... ahah!

  • hell of a job with up the hobbits :)

  • I sometimes wonder what today's human society would be like if all our cousin species had not gone extinct.

  • @mousaey Look at the hunter gatherer people's of the world today. In my country many are messed up on alcohol and drugs and dependent on welfare. Go back 100 years or more and many were used as slaves and victims or genocide or pushed off their lands by settlers. And that's our own species.

  • @mousaey Mostly the same i think, except we would have a lot less holy wars and a lot more race wars.

  • @mousaey Even more racist than it is now, probably.

  • @BCBtheBeastlyBeast And probably have homo sapien sapiens going "Imagine how much better life would be without these neanderthals."

  • @mousaey .... lord of the rings wouldnt of been as hard to shoot

  • @mousaey We would have made them extinct through wars by now... A rather depressing thought, wouldn't you say?

  • @mousaey they would be either slaves or not acceptet in the society, like it always is with something different -.-

  • @andrijagrgic I'd tend to agree, but what if we had not ended up being the dominant one of the three species?

  • @DivineSteel then we would be the slaves? easy as that hahah

some race would be got extint from the other because they are smarter and shit. but thats only my opinion out of millions like it does matter hahaah

  • @mousaey It would maby be like the Lord of the rings with Hobbits, Elvs, Dwarves and Humans

  • @mousaey

Well, since the other species lacked some skills we have, or had physical differences to homo sapiens, for expample the "deformed" torso of the neanderthalian, they might be a slaved/opressed race because homo sapiens took advantage of them.

  • @mousaey you don't know, some humans today might have decended from them and you would have trouble recognizing them

  • @mousaey Look at how we treat chimps.

Didn't we screw them and get the wonders of HIV and AIDS?

anywho. More intelligent beings on this planet would have been amazing.

  • @onlyafewbirds Not really. Hispanics, Whites, Asians, Jews, Blacks are all different. Look how divided we are. We don't need any other "intelligent" species. We kill each other enough.

  • @mousaey Asian people (I'm not sure about East Asians, though) and White people have neanderthal blood in them.

  • Comment removed

  • @mousaey

Probably lots of hybrids and maybe 1 side for each race? there would be constant wars for sure because people fear the unknown and the unfamiliar.

  • @mousaey

Massive religious-driven genocide and strife. It's bad enough with 1 human species, one can imagine how bad it would be with many.

  • @mousaey Assuming that intelligence is the deciding factor, other species would have been destroyed at many instances in our history. The dumber ones would have to survive generations of leaders/dictators of the smart group calling for their death. Should they have survived to this space and time, likely they (or us, are we the dumb ones?) would have been reduced to slavery, much like cattle. In a way, the smart humans are already doing that to the dumb ones ;) /crazy opinion

  • @mousaey fox news would be even more popular

  • @mousaey I wonder if we were to clone a neanderthal, would find them to be more intelligent than us?

  • @AronRa this is a cool video series, thank you for uploading

  • and after 23 years I learn that Hobbits did infact exist.... wtf, when was anyone gonna tell me!?

  • @SleepingZombies Well there is a billion 5 ft people in the far east... that would have been a very big clue :L Also that the further east you go the shorter avg people are.

  • This is amazing. My hat's off to you, sir.

  • This is terrific , I really enjoyed it , and sent to to several people,,,,,,,,thanx !

  • I love this video! Keep it up!

  • I learned this shit with Pokemon!

  • I'm really glad that human bones are so durable. It's nice to have such a profundity of evidence for evolution on record, even if the creationist retards refuse to look at it.

  • Great and informative video, thanks for uploading.

  • 05:03 : no, these guys are Neanderthals. They're Neanderthals in the book (Quest for Fire) and in the movie (Quest for Fire). I've noticed AronRa has presented them as not Neanderthals on another video, and insisted on that there too, but I don't know where he gets this info. They're Neanderthals. The book was written in 1911 by a Frenchman, shortly after the Neanderthal craze, with many discoveries of Neanderthal bones and even tombs in France. The movie follows the book in that respect.

  • Clearly you're in age denial, cuz everyone knows that the dinosaurs were still around when you were a kid. ;)

  • Let's bring back hobbits, And advance their brains. Because, Let's be honest, Our races suck. OHHH YOUR A DIFFERENT COLOUR KIND OF! AND YOUR FACE, AND SKIN IS SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT! Yawn, I wanna see some fucking hobbits.
