  • Does anybody know what the difference between FZ100 and FZ100K is? The price is about the same...Thank you.

  • @jordan2104 I was freaking out about the difference when really the K means it's black!

  • Just bought this video i's crystal clear, sound i's fantastic , shots rock!

  • Guys plug in any 2.5mm cellphone mic it works , I know cause I do it and it sounds nice make sure it's the headset with earphone and mic , so now no need to buy a 100 dollar mic!!

  • Do you know how it compares to one of those video cameras around 800-1000 ? Must admit only curious. Will buy this one. More affordable.

  • Does it auto focus in video mode ?

  • @tallthinwavy3

yeah, it does. That's one of the main reasons I bought it. And its super smooth while zooming. however, during a indoor recording when it was dead quiet, I could hear a very tiny 'whirr' sound of the lens zooming in/out.

  • @tallthinwavy3 yeah

  • @tallthinwavy3 yeah, as well as manual focus ...

  • i wasnt aware that it shot 1080i or p video its only 720p

  • Does this camera have night mode when filming in 1080p or any low light settings like low lux number?

  • @vwlover94 i dont even think its 1080p, But then i again, i dont know if 1080i is that much worse

  • @vwlover94 I had an the older FZ35, it had starry sky mode. And 60 sec exposure. You could see the stars pretty good.

  • @vwlover94 No it hasn`t have a night mode or low light setting

  • love this camera...brilliant stills and video...well pleased with mine...

  • padraigr1 if you cannot specify why just shut up.

  • this camera is a piece of crap stay away from it bought it & sent it back 3 days later

  • My main question is how is this camera in low-normal light?

  • I did some birthday shots in low light at night, i managed to get some good shots of and some dulls also, my bad, i did try an old AGFA flash i managed not to throw out a few weeks earlier.lol.when i sorted my setting out i had some good turn outs,i wouldn't rely on the auto setts for dull light shooting.I'm am very new to cams, however i play n test it to the max to know it down pat..play play play.testbed everything.IE shade/sun/cloud/flouro/night n you'll be alright..hehe

  • i bought this cam 4 days ago and i love all it has, FANTASTIC. for a noob like me you wont go wrong i rekon, heads n shoulders above the 35.the burst is great n the vids i took are also VERY good, i took 320 shots the first day i got it,batt life is lasted all day for me just snapping away..Love it

  • my new camcorder... ;)

    (hopefully...)

  • @psionicdreams mine too. hopefully

  • Excellent review! Now we only need to see someone going step by step to prove it's worth in picture quality.

  • Good mini review, the video looks great! How did you find the picture quality?

Many people were worried because the initial test shots on DPReview and other places looked very soft and details were seemingly blurred and had an oil painting look to them. I'm really curious if turning down the noise reduction would help this.

I'm looking for a replacement for my old Kodak P850 which I have had for nearly 5 years.

    Thanks!
