I support ALL the countries of the world to have A-Bombs and H-Bombs. The problem is when you have a son of a bitch who has the bomb and refuses to get rid of it, and a lot of countries that have dont have, while there is no international organization with credibility to regulate it and prevent a motherfucker to use the weapons. Way to go UN! A resolution like this is good but with one caveat; nukes and nuclear reactors should be allowed in deep space (far away from earth so there's no risk of nuclear fallout) for the purpose of peaceful exploration.

The highly enriched uranium left over from the disassembled warheads can and already is being depleted and used in nuclear reactors here on earth.

Additionally plasma rockets achieve excellent price/weight ratio for transporting payload in space but they require a lot of power to operate, something nuclear reactors are known to offer.

The main reason the NPT had limited success is that it allows these five permanent security council members to keep their pile of nukes but says others not to. This is ridiculous. These five nations should start talking of their own cuts in a clear terms of numbers and deadlines...and then ask others too. But they won't do it. So, we will continue to see it growing all over as the countries associate it with their pride as well as few of them also have genuine reasons to keep it.
