  • Rape is a social construct, just like race and gender are social constructs.

  • I have such mixed feelings about this video... I myself am a victim. It's horrible what some sickos will do to others. I wish this sort of thing just wouldn't exist. I was not raped by a man but by a woman as a child. Sad as I was so cautious to never be alone with strange adults. I do believe what I was wearing did not matter, however because I was wearing something attractive it did draw attention from that monster. Will I live in fear? No, however I will be more mindful of others.

  • it has nothing to do with it, i was almost raped and i was wearing pijama pants and a hoodie, walking on the street with my dog. luckily the guy got arrested and went to jail and deported. He had tried to attack another girl 10 mins before me.

  • The more men I get to know the more I wish I knew none.

  • You dressing like a slut is like me walking through Compton with wads of $100 bills hanging out of my pockets. That is just asking for it, no if's and's or but's. I know that stealing and rape are wrong, but unfortunately not everybody shares my values. SO I DON'T ASK FOR IT!

Also note the fact that no man will take you seriously or respect you if you are dressed like that. The ones that will show you respect are just pussies and manginas.

  • @hondacivic1992 What's wrong with you? A woman should be able to dress the way she wants to without having fear of being raped. And the way a woman dresses does not mean she is "asking for it, no if's or but's" as you put it. Women do not asked to be raped. Its the men who need to change and society. A man knows better than to force himself onto a woman rape, beat, and harass her. A man who does that isn't really a man at all. Men need to change not women. You need to learn more about women.

  • @Wolfbloodvamps171 In a perfect world - yes, she should. But we do not live in a perfect world. You have rapists, murderers and criminals out there. One good way of preventing crime is to seem less attractive to the perpetrators. A man does know better, but 0.00000000000000001% of men do not.

And yes, men do need to change, men need to grow some fucking balls and act like the men did in 1776. I'm tired of seeing all of these pussies out there.

  • @hondacivic1992 I wouldn't even consider those "men" you speak of to be men... they're monsters. Horrible horrible monsters.

  • @Koopagirl77 Yes, men who actually rape women are monsters. But then again they are few and far in between. Its just that most women are extremely stupid attention whores who are naive as fuck, thinking they are never going to get raped, until they do - mostly because the woman didn't take precautions.

  • @hondacivic1992 are you really blaming some of the victims? i was twelve years old, dressed in jeans and a thick sweater when someone who i thought was my friend raped me. what kind of precautions could i have taken?! rapists are sick men, who make the choice to rape of not at the end of the day, no one wants to be raped.

  • Of course nobody wants to get raped. Nobody wants their car broken into either, which is why you never leave valuables on your seat while its parked.

I'm sorry you got raped, but your case was child rape. We are talking about rape of adult women, a whole different case.

BTW, where were your parents when this happened?

  • @Wolfbloodvamps171 agreed. by dressing a certain way does not make it so men cant help themselves. they ALWAYS have a choice. rape is a mens issue...

  • @Cassyspaperflowers Exactly Cassy. I hate it when people say well this is what a woman can do to not get raped. This is used at my university you know that "what women can do to not get raped". But it doesn't start with the woman it starts with the man. Men need to be educated on not to rape and how they can speak up against it.

  • @hondacivic1992 rape is NEVER justified! it doesnt matter how you dress.

  • @Cassyspaperflowers I'm not blaming the victims, rapists should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I am just saying that there are certain precautions you could take to prevent becoming a victim. When a girl dresses provocatively, she draws male attention, this is a fact. Some of this male attention may be negative. All crimes start with the victim coming into to the perpetrators attention, so be more low-key, and this applies to all crime and not just rape.

  • Jane Doe or Jessica, either way I need to feed her some booze and join a baseball team in no particualr order

  • @susiejello

    amen to that!

  • What in the hell was she doing all alone with a room full of guys? At some point women got to take responsibility for being stupid and putting themselves in stupid situations.

  • @JesusManson323 you are an idiot and what you just said is the exact opposite of what we as woman are fighting for! it has nothing to do with the fact that she was in a room full of guys, or what she was wearing. She shouldn't have to feel like she's on the verge of rape every time she's around men. That is complete bullshit!

  • its unfortunate of what happened to her. but what are you going to expect from a girl with so much sex appeal, being the only girl with the baseball team take shots after shots until youre unconscious. sure, she got taken advantage of, but she shouldve known what she was getting herself into. i dont want to say this is a rude way, but shes a slut. theyve found all this pictures of her on facebook after the incident in nebraska doing the same exact shit of what gotten her "raped" in the 1st place

  • @explosivmode Thank you for so perfectly illustrating why a protest like Slut Walk is necessary.

  • @MissTemperence Nobody here is justifying rape, or any crime for that matter. It is a known fact that the best way to prevent a crime from happening is avoiding compromising yourself. It is obvious that this girl compromised herself in this particular situation.

  • @explosivmode

If the entire team is there, shouldn't there be at least one man who would stop the rape from happening?

I would not recommend drinking that much, for obvious health reasons, but a lot of people have made the mistake of drinking too much at some point. Do they all deserve to be raped, just because they made a mistake and drank too much?

  • @Roflwaffle, no I don't understand your analogy or YOUR logic comparing the two. Thanks for watching though, hope you keep thinking logically about the problems of the world.

  • Wow good for her.

  • if Bruce Willis wears a sandwich board that says "i hate niggers", he was asking for it. If a woman dresses like a slut, she's not asking for it. DOES ANYONE ELSE SEE THE CONFLICT OF LOGIC HERE!?

  • @roflwaffle12321

Wearing a sign that says "I hate niggers" is hate speech against black people. If someone's that vocal about it, it may even be taken as a threat. Dressing like a slut is not hate speech toward anyone. There's a huge difference. Also, you're being racist, by implying that black people are violent.

  • @TheConcealedWeapon ...you missed the central point. thank you for being illogical.
