Madness' biggest hit (and only, I think) hit in the US was "Our House", which hit the charts ca. 1983. As for the Eurythmics...1983 again with "Sweet Dreams" being their first of many hits in the US.

Second, who said disco ever left? I mean, sure it lost popularity in the mid-80s to modern day, but I for one love it. It still kinda lives on in our hearts, doesn't it? I'm just waiting for that rap to die out. Pop, I suppose, should stay because, even though I hate modern pop, 80s pop was the bomb. Maybe we'll get good pop again in the future?

I grew up only with this rap stuff, yet I have a deep love for music from the 70s and 80s, and that love makes me a little overly protective about it, but then I hear a tone-deaf ghetto white guy that sounds like a young girl (Yes, I mean Justin Bieber) and I realise the time has passed the music on in sense of popularity, but not in what actually is good.
