Jason never says that he uses the stack and tilt swing. He is just talking about turning around a central axis. A golfer loses power and torque when they sway during the swing. Jason is a very accomplished golfer as well, I believe he is a scratch or better golfer. The whole point of this video is about turning around the central axis, that's all folks!
thats a shit hot tip im an assistant pro and im defo gonna use the shafts as a training drill from some of students, it could also be great for people who reverse pivot
On his downswing you see his weight move mainly on his left side and the shoulder eventually does stack not completely on the top because he has a very large back swing so he can generate his 140mph club head speed.
He actually has a very nice swing; I don't see what are so many complaining about... You know that long drives champs have a major advantage at hitting in straight line since the distance is measured in straight line and not from the hitter to the ball?
He hits hard, he hits traight and he does it consistantly... where is the problem?
The idea behind the stack and tilt is to keep your center mass balanced and constant through the whole swing... Tell me, doesn't he speaks of rotating around an axis? I think that he explains very well how to coil and uncoil properly and as obvious as his advices are, many can figure out problems in their swing just hearing it.
A pro and an amateur is always separated majorly by how they accomplish those simple and obvious things.
LOL, comparing Faldo to Zuback? umm, let's see. British Opens? 3. Masters? 3 again. Sprinkle in some tour wins (Doral, Riviera, Harbor Town) Faldo probably doesn't have to take stroke & distance from the tee quite as often as Zuback.
The guy is offering some advice, and people moan about this and that, and what he call's the ball. Get a life, if you were as good as this guy you wouldn't be watching golf tip's video's on you tube!
@redstu13 He ain't the only pro who's given advice. As far as all of em being wholly correct, they ain't even close, trust me bub. That's not to say that It's all garbage, just that even with the best advice, there is still often work to do. Improvements to be made.
@redstu13 he hits it a long way...that doesn't mean he is good and every golfer no matter how good is constantly striving to improve their game and knowledge, youtube can help anybody,
But Faldo says in order to get more distance you have to load up on your back foot with spine tilting away from target. I'm really confused now-- not sure whom to believe, a 5-time world long driving champion or Faldo. By the way, I saw Faldo play last year -- for a big guy he can't hit it very far at all.
jason has the model for the most distance. if you watch his spine it tilts to the left (towards the target) on the backswing and he tilts it to the right (away from target) on the downswing with his TAILBONE PUSHING UP a STACK AND TILT PIECE. this is how one achieves maximun catapult to hit it far.
to be fair, faldo never tried to hit it far. and btw, whether you shoud lean away or towards the target totally depends on what your trying to do. leaning left usually means fades - see Monty and fred couples. Zuback plays a fade also.
It's not stack and tilt but swing around the center axis and not swaying to the right on the back swing are some fundamentals of S+T. Is it me or is he casting from the top?
He swings it too damn hard to cast. Relative to us, of course, it'll look like he's casting, but because he's so bulky, his release point is going to be "earlier" than smaller, skinnier people.
Being bulky or skinny has nothing to do with casting or release points. That is just made up bs.
All Zuback is saying in this clip is that he tries to keep his head pretty still. Thanks for nothing Zuback, Jack Nicklaus already made that popular in about 1965.
Zuback sways his HIPS big time on the backswing.
And what is with people like Zuback going out of their way to say "the golf ball" instead of just calling it the ball. As if people are going to get confused what ball it is.
Is this S&T or Rotary ? BTW.If you get a chance to see Jason live DO IT !! He comes to Pittsburgh in March usually and putsn a fantastic show. A very personable guy...it seems most guys on the LDA are.
@highteeld not talking about his head, his right hip sways a foot.

this title has to be sarcastic he is moving about 3 feet laterally off the ball... what a joke.

He's doing the stack and tilt especially on the back swing where he's tilting left instead of loading up on the back leg

1. Define "too far off the golf ball."
2. That is not "Stack And Tilt." C'mon man. (NFL segment)

this is an excellent tip glad i saw this , i was moving my head off the ball thus i was swaying and not coiling enough ,, thanks !

Hahaha... That is NOT a stack & tilt...
When did he stack his left shoulder over his left foot?
It was just someone twatting it without swaying.

That's all well and good, but he didn't actually address the S&T philosophy. Also, Zuback sways off the ball as much as any pro you'll see.

Zuback's swing is ugly but is perfect at impact. He's like the turbo-charged version of Jim Furyk.

this is not stack and tilt. thats golf swing as it has been always taught!

Lots of lagging clubhead takeaway, with a random sweep

random sweep is a S&T thing too, good job on noticing that. But SSgolf is spot on about the pivot of the spine

Clearly you haven't seen Colt Knost swing a club.
And seriously, get off your high horse. He's paid to hit the ball 340-80 yards past us, not to instruct. Should it matter what he calls the ball?
BirdmanDeuce26 2 years ago 8
it is not stack and tilt, but his spine does tilt nice. he should not have that shaft next to his left leg
