  • To me, this is a very moving piece, probably one of the best by the Brubeck-Desmond team. I listened to it once - and repeatedly - on a day I was deeply blue a long time ago, and it still works on me like a heart breaking story. This is the rare of kind of music that can make you feel passionately sad in a wink of notes. It's superb )))

  • Fantástica

  • Hi, could you please tell me what the image is? I love it!

  • @QuininSane It is nice. I recommend sending a message directly to the poster.

  • Another late night, lights down low, dream like piece. Should be required listening. Takes me back to a good place!

  • @artwitstick You bet. I'm listening to this right now... room dark but for a short stripe of all-yellow xmas lights, 1 am , half glass of jack daniels by my bed, the cold room feeling warm from the fading clouds of the exhausted cigar, an old love long gone on my mind

  • best song around

  • i almost forgot! listen to bluette for some amazing desmond playing alto!

  • i got turned on to this song when i was in the army in 62.the off beat piano and desmonds stuff leally hit home.i still play hi s stuff years later.

  • Sad and beautiful. Desmond's solo is short but very impressive. And Dave is far from his usually "aggressive" self, very tender and thoughtful.

  • Божественно!!

  • So, rmmm... Dave Brubeck is a WIN!

  • Reminds me of Gothic literature.

  • this is so sad.

  • Wikipedia says this tune is in 9/4, but I say 9/8

    Also, really beautiful.

  • Happy 90th Birthday, Mr Brubeck!

  • This is so beautiful it bring tears to my eyes...

  • Dave Brubeck is so awesome... *sniff*

  • This is such a great song. I love the pictures as well, they match nicely.

  • I am so happy someone finally posted this. Is maybe my favorite Brubeck tune, and it is so over-looked.

  • I bought the LP "Time Further Out" in 1964 when I was 15 years old; I was learning jazz drumming and Joe Morello was the jazz drummer who has a beautiful jazz drumming style

  • ive always loved this song, paul desmond is great fantastic!
