No but they inherited(kind of anyway)the powers because they were controlled not by Screaming Mantis but by Physco Mantis(he controlled Screaming Mantis too)who you encounter after beating Screaming Mantis.

There are similarities though like you have to be beat crying wolf in the same place where you beat sniper wolf.

I understand where your coming from, but I believe Hideo created post "traumatic" disorders of war through symbolism. Anger/sadness/dellirium/etc... In this case, "show me your rage" is the anger emotion. Each of these bosses equals a symbolism of emotion due to the after affects of war. I am not sure of their names but if you watch the trailer you will see each boss either crying, laughing, mute or angry. Hideo Kojima is only telling us what happens to many soldiers after shell shock.

Linguistically speaking, your probably right. It may sound a bit awkward depending where and how it's said. The one thing I hope I'm not disappointed with are the "over done" scenes man. For example, the sonic the hedgehog spin done by raiden while fighting vamp !! I feel that the realism might be torn away in some scenes. The original MGS 1 for PS was the most realistic so far of all. These wacky maneuvers need to stop...break dancing off a sword...jeez...What do you guys think of this?

IMHO, the game series is slowly transforming from what it was; a "realistic surrealism" of sorts, into yet another "unrealistic surrealism." i.e. the technology/events/enemies/etc. from the first few games never existed, but could have. The later games, however, are pushing it really hard. To put it simply, they're becoming less and less believable.

I got to agree with Ryu. Crying Wolf seems like an awesome boss. The split voice sobbing is really creepy. It just gets under your skin and makes you quiver a little. But seeing someone scream RAGE! just seems comical.

Valid point but the voice over is treated to make it really frightening, the whole game will set you on unease especially when things like the Gekkou make random animal noises depending on what they are doing (e.g. Bull noise when charging) So just having just a angry scream wouldn't be as frieghtening as the woman almost shouting orders at you.

Not really... It's so corny that it took out the scare factor. What WOUULD be frightening would be if she was so completely overtaken with uncontrollable rage that she couldn't stop describing what she was going to do to you in great detail. and I don't mean "IMA KILL J00LULZ" I mean stuff that even I couldn't type here without cringing.
