@IshyIMB017 You're absolutely right, in a way. Did you know Gerard Butler has never had voice lessons? I think he did pretty damn good for his knowledge of singing. And the passion was awesome, with the pain and hate for the world and such. Gerry's voice is perfect for the Phantom. Patrick's voice is perfect for Raoul. Period. :D

I love Emmy Rossum, she's a very down-to-earth person. Unfortunately her voice is a very fine pop voice which really turned me off from the film. I wish Rachel Barrell had a chance at the film, or any of the fine west end christines.

I love how they visited the Opera Garnier when the musical isn't even properly set there. It was completed in the 1880s, can't remember the right time off the top of my head. It's "Palais Garnier" in the musical and set in the 1870s.
