He drives BMW E61 today, yes. But I can never borrow it. I've tried it several times, and that's the best car I've ever tried next to an 8-series. I've had a BMW 320d E46, and that sure beats any Opel I've ever tried. Opel is for teens and people with empty pockets. Oh, and Opel seems broke too! xD

If you don't know, I tell you that a stock 535D has 282hp and over 700 newtonmeters.

And the other thing that if you take care of your BMW it will never let you down.

And if you have an E34 M5, it doesn't have so many newtonmeters so it won't be faster than a Turbodiesel like this...

its under 325bhp there is nowhere that 535d could go to 371bhp unless his upgraded the turbo which i dont see bhp going that high aswell if it is what have you done to it so i could do the same to mine as from remap i done nothing else

nonsense... This is a diesel and they do never rev high. max is about 5000. This engine easily runs 250.000 miles. Turbolag is also no problem nowadays.

Yes: it has a powerbox and 30% more power. I have already driven 120000km with chip.

Normally gearbox must have 30% safetymargin in power... but i don't know about mercedes gearboxes.....

No way that this is 371 hp and 716 nm. I have less in my 535d and ran it on 17 seconds today with winter tires = no grip on 1 st gear. Summer tires will take out ½ - 1 second. Will put mine on dyno this coming Saturday and we will see what power I have.

Funny, if some in 1985 told me that diesel would be faster than ferrari's in future I would not believe him. Well, here is the prove. What an incredible speed. I was looking for an Audi A6 2,7 tdi but I tested a 530d. Much better so my choice has been made. It will be a 530d E60 with a chip (245 bhp, 560 Nm) from Germany (import to the Netherlands)

we have a 530i and its a very good car. enough power and for such a car a pretty low fuel consumption. i dont know why you want an xi. but i think its the best if you test both cars to see which one is better for you. the 535d has more power but costs a little bit more.

535d and 545 ( what?? Diesel/Petrol?) i would take 545i, you get more power, if its the petrol, but yh if you wanna save money, and dont wanna have all that power and just have lots of torque (wich i also prefer) i would take the 535d. BMW got very good engine and the Diesel is fantastic :D

what's the difference between D and DS?

D is the normal drive modus. here the gearbox changes the gears very early to be efficient and to save fuel. and DS is the sport modus. here the gearbox stands in the best gear to accelerate and if you accelerate you can rev up the engine to the limiter. so th ecar is more livelier and accelerates a little bit better. i hope i could help you a bit :)
