@mismestera Her father died in 2008 from a heart attack. I read that since then, she's been active in promoting heart-healthy lifestyles and education for heart health in honor of her father and Sergei.

I absolutely love Katia! When I was little, G&G were my heroes. I remember when I heard Sergei had died. I was 7 or 8 and I cried myself to sleep. It's been wonderful watching the transformation and development of Katia's life and those of her girls. So happy she's been able to make a happy life for herself with a new love. Good for her! Still one of my heroes!

IMHO, it is not so much her bleached hair, which looks really unhealthy though, as it is her eyes and brows that add to her looking aged and/or tired most of the time. Something has happened to her previously gorgeous brows plus the eyes are smaller and do not have a sparkle anymore. Also too much skin around the eyes, may be due to lots of crying who knows... She looks both young being in a great shape and old because of her face.

Maybe 'cause she seems slightly worn out, too. Looks as though she could definitely use a nap or a weekend getaway.

I'd rather she go a bit darker if she wants blonde hair. Prefer the brunette, but hey. We all want change. Lord knows I've had color that didn't suit me. She looks like she has more makeup on than usual which would contribute to the comments that she doesn't look her best here. She doesn't need makeup, IMO. At all. Very, very beautiful woman!

Oh, for God's sake, people. When you're among the most beautiful, successful, talented figure skaters in the world, you do not have a nose job, because there is no reason for you to have one. Duh. She did nothing to her nose. Maybe when you have enough of people snarking about your own hair or your own looks online, you'll learn not to do it to others. Until then, no one really wants to read your juvenile observations about how you think people look.

@208327650 It's possible, but I don't see a huge difference in her nose, although nose jobs can definitely age people. I think her hair has been bleached to the point of drying it out and it has an aging effect. It was devastating what happened to Sergei but it would have been unhealthy for her and Daria to stay in the past. Good for her finding new love and now Daria has a little sister.

I think a trip to a good salon for a makeover would work wonders!

@208327650 I think it's her hair that's aging her, she should have stayed with her brown hair, it looked healthier and younger. She's probably so busy raising her kids and working that she doesn't have time to go to a good salon and really pamper herself. I'm also extremely glad she moved on with her life with IK.

What a beautiful woman Katia is...I have so much admiration for her! She's come through a great deal of adversity in her life with grace and dignity. We all know and love her as half of Gordeeva and Grinkov and she and Sergei will remain in our hearts forever, but I am so pleased to hear her speak of her family in the present...I wish her and Ilia and Daria and Leeza nothing but the best of love and happiness in their futures. Thank you so much for sharing this video. :)
